Isn't it James Stewart and Charles Chaplin ? But very nice quiz. Exactly the same concept as mine with the IMDb's Top 250. You could've included the directors too. But still good job. =) Oh and leave the format as it is otherwise it would be too easy.

Never played your IMDb top 250 quiz, sorry if it looked like I stole your idea. I tend to make a lot of AFI Top 100 quizzes. You're right that Stewart more often was billed as James, however Chaplin usually went by Charlie. I included both first names as alternates. Thanks for the input on the third column though.

It's amazing that Nicholson doesn't have more. If only he'd been in the Godfather films. Oh, and you clearly forgot Deep Blue Sea for Samuel Jackson.

I love original research for a quiz, and I can't say I've seen anything that did what you did with the AFI list. I loved H0limkill's list too, but the IMDb list is a moving target that can change after a big opening weekend. This is a more concise, static and interesting list.

I was more surprised at the names that weren't on the list than the one's who were: Morgan Freeman and Dennis Hopper were two that I expected to see. @schnoxl: I thought the same thing for Scorcese (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas) and Spielberg, but neither appeared in enough of the own films to qualify. Hitchcock should definitely be a bonus, though, he has enough apperances, I'm sure.

Actually, scratch that. I was genuinely surprised to find Samuel Jackson and Christopher Walken on here.

Great quiz. I was all set to argue that Buster Keaton should be at least a bonus because of his cameo in "Sunset Boulevard", but remarkably only one of his feature films made the AFI list.

The word "Actors" in the title screwed me up. Also, I was surprised that Joe Pesci and Steve Buscemi didn't make it. And you need to be specific as to which list you used, because some people may go by the Original list.

@sprout, as an editor you should make sure sporcle has a system that checks for similar quizzes better. i checked the database using this title and no matches were found. this way myself (and various others) wouldnt have to waste our time creating quizzes that were already created

@DiscoStew: No but I got Diane Keaton by guessing Buster and Ned Beatty by guessing Warren.

I have to agree with Double Down. I didnt guess a single woman. Maybe thats me being dumb, but a lot of movie quizzes delineate between actors and actresses.

You also forgot Thomas Mitchell. He was in at least 3: It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and Gone with the Wind. The latter would also be a 7th film for Ward Bond. Great quiz though!
