@InsaneMcCain- glad to know I wasn't the only one singing my way through this quiz. This quiz has been done in a published, fill-in-the-blank version too: http://www.sporcle.com/games/text/uspreamble

Also, why does just typing "a" cause the entire word "and" to pop up? It's not necessarily bad, but I kept ending up with "nd" in the box.

I agree with Hejman. That was extremely annoying. I think it happened a few times with "the," also.

I like doing it in order -- what's the point of knowing all the words if you don't know how they are put together?

I'm 34 years old and can't imagine that I have heard the School House Rock song in close to 25 years, but I still remember the tune and all the words (except one - I missed "secure"). No idea why that song stuck permanently in my head.

♪ In 1787, I'm told, our founding fathers did agree / to write a list of principles for keeping people free / the USA was just starting out, a whole brand-new country/ and so our people spelled it out, the things that we should be ♪

Years ago, my wife and I bought a DVD for my kids of every School House Rock cartoon. The kids are fairly indifferent, but my wife and I love it. I'm not sure the song actually uses secure -- singing it in my head I kept remembering ensure.

Thank you, School House Rock! And to those who think it's US centric, if you're offended, don't play. Of course, if you're not from the US, you might not understand this kind of freedom.

Much as I love Schoolhouse Rock, the reason I remember this is that my eighth grade history teacher made us memorize it down to the punctuation! So in my brain, I hear: "we the people of the united states (comma) in order to form a more perfect union (comma) establish justice (comma)..."
