	Can't say I did well on this quiz...google search eliminates the need such a stab in the dark as to type something generic in as a URL. Isn't curiosity the only reason you'd ever try typing in something like sauce.com to see where you end up? Also, just how entertaining could "sauce.com" or "towels.com" be in your head before you try it?

	Was anyone else thinking scotch tape when they saw scotch.com? Also, I was thinking it was a cloth towel company, not paper towels. The tires one I should have got right, I've seen ads for them enough times.

	the towels one I actually got right off the bat. I was definitely thinking 3M for scotch, and had to switch gears a bit on that one. For bubble gum I picked hubba bubba on a lark just because I think it's such a ridiculous name. On network, I thought Cisco at first, but then I remembered Sun's silly "the computer is the network" slogan of a few years back. But yah, lots of clues where I guessed about 5 different companies before getting (or failing to get) the right one.

	maybe take CK for Calvin Klein? granted i was running out of time when I guessed it and probably would have typed the whole thing if i wasn't in panic mode...but ck is a pretty common abbreviation - their main website for underwear is actually cku.com

	On a different but related note, one of my favorite domains owned by a company is 466453.com owned by Google, which they bought so that when someone accidentally forgets to turn on text mode trying to enter google.com on their cell phone, they're still directed to the Google home page.

	@Breaker1: My favourite is www.ankerfurniture.com , which I saw on the side of a truck a few months ago. It appears to be an entirely legitimate office furniture business; obviously, somebody wasn't thinking too hard (no pun intended). Right up there with the old chestnuts of powergenitalia.com and antiquesexchange.com .

	By the way, what's newton.com doing in this quiz? Newton is (or, at least, was until ten years ago) an Apple brand name so their use of it is not generic. If the intended `generic' meaning was the biscuit/cake thing, that fails too because it's a Nabisco trademark.

	I think the quiz is great - just the right amount of time :) but some of the answers are a bit picky, like it didn't seem to accept just 'discount tires' or 'peets coffee' which I found a little bit unfair. :/ and @Edd: it's because it 'soaks up plenty of liquid', 'does plenty of jobs', and you can 'rinse and reuse one sheet plenty of times' :P haha, I love that advert

	I was just about to post that, Nuclear_Knuckles. I only got four on this one (toys, underwear, bubblegum and birthdaycard) - misspelled scotch and should obviously have gotten soups from the famous Warhol painting. We do things differently in the Netherlands

	@Knuckles & isaac: I think the problem is the www comes right before anker, forming the word wanker (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wanker) ... At least I hope that's what davidr meant, otherwise I didn't get the joke either :)

	A couple of these are way too regional, e.g. Discount Tire, Peets Coffee. And, I never think of Johnie Walker for scotch, I think of it as just whiskey, maybe I don't get out enough.

	@Selz: I'm as much for inclusivity of the international audience as the next man, woman or child. But in the last three days, there have been quizzes about the Premier League, the BAFTAs and Cannes, none of which is in the USA. There have been quizzes about boxing, the English language, the Lord of the Rings and a song by Madonna (OK, she's American but she's kinda popular in Europe, too). There have been two quizzes about American sports in the last week, when there's normally about one a day. Yes, it's a shame that this quiz consists mainly of US companies that we've not heard of in Europe but it's not like we're short of European or culturally-neutral quizzes at the moment.
