Sharapova's rank dropped because of some shoulder injury I think. She played in the French Open just last week but lost in the quarter finals.

I love starting quizzes because I know I'm going to need to think. However, I hate taking them because I can never recall names! I actually follow tennis but could only remember 15. Someone tell me how I can remember Kleybanova but not Mauresmo!

"Medina Garrigues" is the correct surname and should be accepted. Same with "Zheng"-- "Jie" is actually her first name.

Nhrafan, don't worry, I got Kleybanova but not Mauresmo too.. I got only 13, but it was better than about 88 % of other quiz takers?

7 including the top 5. Had no idea a Brit was in the top 50.

The problem with going all the way to 50 is that minor events that happen every week will make this quiz out of date within a month.

Usually I would judge people who get none right, but really anybody getting 100% on this quiz should consider the direction their life is taking

It helps that the French open was only last week, I do follow tennis so I did ok. I could have got maybe 4 more if I could spell their names!

I spent a lot of time trying to spell Clijsters without realizing she's retired. The lack of a Belgium in the list should have been a big hint.

I don't think it's fair to say that anyone, like myself, who gets 100% on this quiz needs to re-evaluate their life. Is it wrong to be a huge fan and to follow a sport and to know who takes part in it. None of these players are unknown in the tennis community so I think its unfair to say as such.

PMSL , 65% of people got 1-7. Did these people just enter Williams , then Sharapova , then when she didn't come up just press give up? :p

Zheng is the surname, not Jie. LI (Na), PENG (Shuai), and ZHENG (Jie) are the SURNAMES (given names)...I don't care which order you pick, but it has to be standardized, and the surnames should trigger the answers.
