I agree. Tottenham is pretty self explanatory, why wouldn't it count?

Excellent quiz and more challenging than I first expected! It might also be interesting to see which clubs have the most overall wealth instead of just revenue from the 2007/08 season to see if it throws up any surprising results. I imagine number 20 on this list would shoot up much higher!

Missed Stuttgart and Fenerbahce. 18/20. And we have the dubious honour of being the only club in the top 20 never to have played in the Champions League! Nevermind eh?

Scratch that, I see City are there now. As far as I know they've not got into the CL. Last year Spurs were definitely the only club in top 20 to have not got into that particular competition. Forgot to add, great quiz!!

I think the Top 20 would be a lot different if you looked at profits and wealth rather than just revenue/sales. Remember: Sales is vanity, profits is sanity!

@Tobin Williamson: Despite what other fans may tell you, we are still a massive club with a huge stadium and fanbase. Shows how greedy our chairman is when we have that higher turnover and we make a £10m profit in the transfer window. I suppose half the revenue goes on Michael Owen's wages though!

@Josh Turner - recent released figures have shown that your current chairman has ploughed a lot of money into NUFC & its his predecessors that have made big money from the club.@Robh - Spurs & City fans can console themselves with the fact that they played in the European Cup in the days when only current champions took part.

I feel like eight minutes is too much time for only twenty answers... but regardless, this was a cool quiz. I didn't do nearly as well as I should have- got half- but it was definitely interesting to see who did and didn't make the cut.

15 out of 20 (for a girl isn't bad!) and of those i missed - i'm annoyed to miss number 11. the others, 13, 15, 18 and 19 you would have to have boy chromosomes to know

@kicking222: Oops, yes, eight mins is rather long. The quiz creation system asks for a time-limit right at the start, which can be changed later. My default is eight mins and then I go back and change it once I've entered all the questions and answers and tested it a few times. Looks like I forgot to do that, this time.

Beatrice, I have no boy chromosomes and I got number 15, although not the others you mentioned - swear I haven't heard of Fenerbahçe. I never knew of Internazionale being called anything but Inter Milan and I already got AC Milan and forgot about the other one, silly me.

Newcastle United are a massive club with the loyalist and most passionate supporters in England. Sadly we will be the only club in that list of 20 not to have won a trphy in the last 40 years

and interestingly, this table is quite different from how it looked a year ago, partly down to the strength of the EURO and weakness of the pound, which if they were what they were then in this table would put quiet a few european teams out and more premiership ones up (including sadly making Man U top)...(just an interesting observation)
