Great quiz, love the cricket ones. Do you think 'Murali' is an acceptable form of Muralitharan - I can't imagine many will be able to spell it and he does get called Murali.

@Ben: Thanks. I was in two minds about whether to accept `Murali'. I definitely would have if it hadn't been the first six letters of his surname. What do other people think?

On the other hand, `Venkat' is accepted for Venkataraghavan so I'll mail the admins and ask them to accept `Murali', too.

American ignorance alert! I think it's funny that I looked at this quiz and thought "Do I even know what a wicket is? Barely. I think I'll do the rock and roll quiz."

Don't worry, magister -- I have exactly the same reaction to the American football and baseball quizzes. "What does that even *mean*?"

@N-Bomb: The 2008 answer was only added in January. At least 80% of the people who've taken the quiz took in in 2008, when that answer didn't exist.

Fabulous quiz, quizmaster! I'm annoyed I failed to get Prasad, Qadir & much worse Tony Greig for all the years AFTER I was born. As for the years BEFORE I was born, I'm gutted I didn't get Alec Bedser & Alan Davidson. But that was really good fun all the same!
