| Almost missed Lakewood and Spokane Valley, but got the top 20 in my home state. Washington is the 3rd (or maybe 4th, behind Arizona) most populous state west of the Mississippi, after California and Texas. Seattle is the 14th largest metro area, with over 3.5 million people. Though it's very cloudy, and rains a lot of days, Seattle gets less rain (37 inches) than New York City, Boston, Miami, Charlotte, DC, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland, Nashville, St. Louis, and Honolulu. In the much drier desert east, Spokane gets 16 inches and Yakima gets 9 inches. |
