How is that plagiarized bullsh/t "Ice Ice Baby" even allowed to be included in anything anymore?

Similarly, how is that offensive, misogynistic "Baby Got Back" (*shudder*) even legal?

I got 80. I am not proud of myself. EMF's song was not from 1983. And to dan snyder, this list came out quite a while ago and it wasn't from Sporcle. It's not their fault. And with Twister Sister, they were a one-hit wonder on the pop charts, just as Billy Ray Cyrus is a one-hit wonder on the pop charts but not on the country charts.

#88 was from 1997, #53 has been overplayed like crazy lately because of that commercial, and otherwise this is an awesome quiz.

I love how this is going to become a political debate. Anyway VH1 is generally horrible when it comes to making lists like this. Where the hell is Land Down Under or I Ran So Far Away?

@John didn't Men at Work have more than one hit? Who Can it Be Now & Land Down Under, right?

"Ice Ice Baby" IS blatantly plagiarized. Exact same beat as "Under Pressure?" They're practically interchangeable.

@John (the one without the JF at the end of it): Men at Work had a #1 with "Who Can It Be Now?" Valid point with A Flock of Seagulls though.

Under Pressure is "dun dun dun diggy dun dun... dun dun dun diggy dun dun", while Ice Ice Baby is "dun dun dun diggy dun dun... DUN dun dun dun diggy dun dun"... COMPLETELY different!

Happy Birthday, Ben! Since music is the topic here, here's your birthday song: "Ben, the two of us need look no more – We both found what we were looking for – With a friend to call my own – I'll never be alone" ;)

Flock of Seagulls actually had three top 40 hits: I Ran, Space Age Love Song, and Wishing. Men at Work had 5 top 40 hits. On the other hand, several bands that made the list are not one hit wonders including Crash Test Dummies, A-ha, and Quiet Riot.

Awesome, I've been waiting for this one. I was amused when I just kept typing M's for the Crash Test Dummies song and it eventually worked. Also, though they are a one-hit wonder, Faith No More are an awesome, awesome band.

Regarding Ice Ice Baby, most rap songs contain samples. I dont think it was ever denied by Vanilla Ice that he sampled Queen.

trying to figure out how many mmms in crash test dummies was rather hard. I do agree its hard to judge what band had only one hit. like ratt, or twisted sister, or men at work. maybe they had only one song that hit number one? t'pau was bigger over in the uk, but they put out some good albums in the 80's. Jesus Jones should be on here with right here right now

@YankeesJets, funny enough, CANDM's comment above is in fact a real quote taken by Vanilla Ice himself when asked in an interview what he thought regarding a lawsuit from Queen. I think it was shown on a VH1 Behind the Music or some similar show, it's hilarious.

Spelling was a problem for me. I admitted that I cheated for spelling. I mean, the only reason I know Iron Butterfly is from the Simpsons, so In a gadda da vida wasn't exactly my first guess for spelling. Whoomp! there it is took some cheating (anybody else think it was just "whoop"?)

@powerpup97, depends if that was their only hit in the US, they had a couple more singles in the UK that charted.

I think it should accept "Rock n roll part 2" for "Rock & roll, pt. 2"
