Nice quiz. Difficult, but good. Got Clinton, Powell, and Rice, but no others!

I spent at least two minutes trying to figure out how to spell "Zbigniew Brzezinski" before realizing he wasn't actually ever Secretary of State.

Why limit this to living Secretaries of State? I've been waiting months to type in Frederick T. Frelinghuysen.

anyone else think at first - based on the title - that this was going to be some live, interactive, chat-room kind of quiz?

I missed two of the ten because a) I couldn't spell "Shultz"; and b) I remembered Clinton's 1st Sec of State being Christopher Warren, and I just type last names.

Chris Warren played for the Seahawks, my favorite football team. Warren Christopher is from North Dakota, which is where I live. That's how I keep them straight.

This made me curious, so I looked up the complete list. My favorite name was Philander C. Knox. It would have been better if his middle initial had been R.

@chancelikely...Even if he had been SOS, he wouldn't be on this list because he is dead.

Not that it would help on the quiz, but Brzezinski is still very much alive. Okay, he's 81, so maybe "very much" is overstating it, but he's still alive.

I was so proud of myself for knowing that William Burns was the Acting Sec. of St. for a day or two when Obama took office... darned rules not counting acting secretaries of state!

I was confused as to why Haig was not on the list, but mentioned in the comments. Apparently he died in early 2010.

I'm confused how 8.1% could get the least guessed answer (Eagleburger) and yet 9.8% have guessed them all.
