| English, French, Mandarin/Chinese, and Russian represent the 5 countries that make up the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council, the U.S.A., the U.K., Russia, the People's Republic of China, and France. That's probably why Russian is guessed more than Arabic, because Russia/the USSR has played a big role in the short history of the UN. Like IQ_Unknown said, the other two, Spanish and the Middle East, are on there because of their proliferation to large spans of countries around the world. |
