| @Bourque supporters: I agree completely- Bourque is one of the best defensemen ever, and one of the most important players of the past quarter-century. I'm a Bourque fan, and I'll even admit to tearing up when he finally lifted the Cup- and I'm a Devils fan! Believe me, I wasn't making the point that he isn't a great player. My point was that if you were to randomly think of hockey players' names, among the first ones to come to mind would probably be Gretzky, Howe, and Messier, but probably not be Bourque. Additionally, if the team names weren't given, it wouldn't be hard for a hockey fan to say to him/herself, "OK, Gretzky was huge in Edmonton and LA... Roy was huge in Montreal and Colorado." However, Bourque played 94 of his 1612 career NHL games for the Avs, so especially in regards to this quiz, someone who isn't a hardcore hockey fan would probably never think of him. |
