I'll never stop being amazed how often I get the most gotten and don't get the least gotten. But the Top 17, no more and no less? Fun quiz.

Malcolm in the Middle should be a bonus.

Cooper should be acceptable for One Day At a Time since that's what the daughter's last names were

I spent the last few minutes trying to figure out the correct spelling of "Sheffield" – I even had it correct at one point, but without a capital letter. I think you need to be a bit more forgiving on that answer.

sammyhain2364 is right. There are actually more Coopers in the show than Romanos. (and Ann was a Cooper before the divorce so that is the family name). Also Jackson in Diff'rent Strokes as that was Willis and Arnold's last name.

If you're not from US and some of the shows are not aired in your country, it's easy to put "Beaver" for "Leave it to Beaver" and "Belvedere" for "Mr. Belvedere". And the inevitable question comes: Where is "The Jeffersons" ?

@MovieDynamic, Somehow I think it would be a tad too easy to guess the family name of The Simpsons.

Only got 5, probably because you remember their first names not the last name, so I was lucky to get what I did!

Hey Diver, if you want a quiz that tells you the answer in the TITLE why don't you go somewhere else.

Scratching my head over why people want to see shows where the answer is in the title, as JoeGrzzly notes. Whassup with that? Also a bit frustrated at how I can have watched certain shows religiously (and multiple times) like Six Feet Under, The Nanny and The Wonder Years and still not be able to remember those last names on demand. Btw, I love Fran Drescher - I think she is the Lucille Ball of our time. Nanny reruns were recently on a local syndicated channel and I was amazed at how purely funny those shows still are years later. You can't fake laughing - something is either funny or it isn't.

@JoeGrzzly and Wendy: I think it's pretty obvious that Diver and MovieDynamic were being facetious. Whether their comments were funny or not is another story. Anyway, was I the only one who accidentally got Romano by guessing it for Everybody Loves Raymond?

@SallyMit. All those shows have the family's name in the title. It'd be too easy.

if you count cooper, 9 of the last names end in "er" or "or" - that must be the american TV way of going for a generic white bread name that offends no one!

I weep at all the people who obviously didn't catch the sarcasm of Sally Mit Driver's post and down arrowed it. Or, perhaps they did catch it but obviously did not get the awesome humor of it.

@Ted, MovieDynamic's post wasn't so obvious because he was only asking about one show. Although, looking back at it I can see how he could have been joking, but it wasn't so obvious by the post. Sally's, however, was so painfully obvious that it was a joke that I don't get how it went over anybody's head.

Bodine should also be accepted for The Beverly Hillbillies, as it was Jethro's last name and Granny's maiden name.
