I had a lot of trouble with this. But was very happy to see that, even if there are some bands I don't love up there, something like T-S O is able to stay up near the top

I'm proud I got Hannah Montana. It's not like I listen to the garbage, but I don't see how being, by definition, ignorant about a subject should be a matter of pride, particularly on a trivia site. And yes, I know I'm taking this way too seriously.

wow, I didn't know most of these artists were still touring. Especially The Police after their breakup. Didn't even know they reformed, unfortunately. : If I had known there were so many oldies on this, Madonna wouldn't have been one of the that i got >_> Also, glad to see it's more oldies than rappers (not hating on rap, it's just nice to see the classics keep on rolling)

I made the mistake of naming current artists I hate, as opposed to older ones I love. Too bad!

The only two I got were The Police because I saw them and Hannah Montana because I knew all of that Disney franchise had to pay off for them somewhere.

Older bands do well touring because their fans are older and can afford expensive tickets to huge arenas. Anyway, very surprised to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on here

In regard to the 1.8% who the quiz currently says scored 100%: Ok, let us say that .4% are people who are experts on the matter. Perhaps another .4% are either autistic savants or geniuses of some sort who remember everything about everything. I'm being generous with these proportions. That leaves 1% of you. I'm curious: what are you doing and why? Do you take the quiz once, get the answers, and then immediately take the quiz again? Or do you go to the source right away and cheat while you take the quiz? Are you logged off the first time you take the quiz and then log on when you know all the answers and take it again? Do you then show your perfect quiz results to women you want to impress? Please explain your thought process.

@IWANTMY2DOLLARS: why the hating? If people want to cheat, let them cheat. Maybe 1.8% read entertainment weekly every week and follow this sort of thing. maybe they guessed a lot. but it doesn't affect you in any way. so why the bugging out?

This only goes to prove that old people and teeny boppers are the only ones who can afford to go to concerts nowadays. Great to see some of my favorites on there.

@fatbeard: There is only a slight amount of hating involved - the rest is in your mind. I'm honestly curious, and my curiosity should not affect you in any way.

SPICE GIRLS??????? 1) I didn't know they had reformed 2) I certainly didn't know they were on tour 3) even if I knew about 1 and 2, never would I have guessed they would crack the top ten grossing tours in **2008**!

you can be curious, but when you riddle your words with agression, and post it on a message board, it's open to comments.

Nobody on this list compares to Springsteen live. Even at 60, the Boss still brings it night after night.

Could you please state that this quiz refers only to North American tours, there were just as many bands touring throughout the rest of the world and probably getting far bigger returns especially in Europe and Asia

@tannem coming from someone who has seen them both, I have to say Billy Joel was just as good, if not better, and TSO is up there as well. Of course, if you read my user name, you will realize I may be a little bit biased in the matter.

Kyle it really is bad that you don't know who Kenny Chesney is. If this quiz was based on tickets sold rather than gross, Kenny would be #1..he sells the most tickets of any North American Artist these days. I went to see him last Saturday at Gillette Stadium....outrageous
