	QB Bills is Jim Kelly, QB Eagles is Randall Cunningham, and QB Browns is Bernie Kosar. They were not part of the NFLPA's marketing agreement, which prevented them from liscensing the players' likeness in the video game. Thus, giving them generic names.

	GREATEST IDEA FOR A QUIZ EVER!!! HAHA! Makes me want to go play right now. Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and Bo Jackson were so good in this game it was almost unfair. There is a great youtube clip of someone running with Bo jackson up and down the field 3 times and taking up the enire quarter on one play. Awesome.

	Does anyone know why those guys were not part of the NFL licensing agreement? It was because there was another Nintendo game called Quarterbacks Club with only about 8-12 guys as members. Since they they had their rights in that game they didn't have them for Super Tecmo Bowl. Same reason Michael Jordan never showed up in any of the NBA Live games. He made a hideous game with Larry Bird called Michael vs. Larry or something like that...

	Sorry, done commenting after this: Just wanted to reiterate what a great quiz this was. This game was like the Citizen Kane of sports video games. Never before did they have real players with and able to keep real stats... Should have won many awards...

	The game was Jordan vs. Bird. I had a bootleg copy for C64. I also had a legitimate baseball game with, get this, Tom Seaver and Jose Canseco. I can't believe that I spent most of my childhood looking up to Canseco.

	yeah the backups would be fun, too, especially since I madly typed in a couple while doing this quiz! I was sure Mike Tomczak, Andre Ware, and Rich Gannon were correct. 21/28, but since I played this game every day as a child, I feel that to be a failure :(

	I was hoping that Tommy Hodson or Marc Wilson would pop up as New England's starting QB, and he'd be the least remembered QB, because no one in their right mind played as the 1990 or 1991 New England Patriots on Tecmo. Good lord those teams were awful.

	this game was awesome, i used 49ers most of the time an you could get like 700 yards in the first game and it gets harder and harder in the subsequent games....i still remember if you picked the right D it's an automatic sack

	27/28. I'll echo the sentiments of those who have called this one of the best football games ever. Way ahead of its time. I still own this game, it's in very good condition, and I still play it from time to time. Nothing like running that Houston run and shoot offense with Warren Moon, Ernest Givens, Haywood Jeffries, Drew Hill, and Curtis Duncan. And ad808, you're wrong...as a Pats fan in the mid 90s I played with that team and won Super Bowls. With the right plays on offense and the right player on defense (Ronnie Lippett in the case of the 91 Pats) you could win the Super Bowl with any team on that game.

	Did anyone else play with the Packers? Their nose tackle--Bob Nelson--was the best player in the game, for some reason. If you tapped down and hit "dive" with Nelson, you would sack the QB or catch the RB on the hand-off nearly every single time. He would dive like 7-9 yards for a tackle. I had something like 85 sacks a season with that guy.
