WNBA teams shouldn't be included in the "Sports" category.

WNBA is as much of a sport as all other sports. If croquet is counted as a sport, a women's version of any sport should be counted

Who watches the WNBA? Really, the same goes for MLS. The NHL qualifies as obscure. MLS and WNBA stadia should go.

What's with all the hating on the WNBA? Seriously, great quiz, but I found it a bit sad. Arenas and stadiums used to have great names. Now they're all lame-sounding corporate names. I miss the Forum. *Sigh*...

I was offered 2 free courtside tickets, 2nd row, to a Mystics' playoff WNBA game. I didn't have any plans that evening. I still turned them down.

I'm pretty sure that the Wachovia Center is shared with the 76ers, which it would not accept. The AT&T center is shared with the Spurs. Madison Square Garden is shared with the Rangers. I'm going to stop because there are a few more arguments to be made. Worst quiz ever on Sporcle. The title question isn't even grammatically correct.

Pretty sure that "Worst quiz ever on Sporcle" is a massive overstatement. Plus, it specifies the league they're looking for.

Thank you for including MLS. As far as WNBA, the key area is easy since an NBA team once played there. I think for the 2nd one the arena should have been for the Sun, it is pretty well known that they play at Mohegan Sun.

On the front page, Sporcle say "
congrats to Ben
". I don't know what the official reason is but Ben has contributed close to
500
games that have been played a total of
over 18,000,000 times!
Whatever the official reason is, those two accomplishments deserve our congratulations.
I bow to the master.

a number of them that are listed as NBA are also NHL arenas, and as a result, it should be by city, not by team. Examples: air canada centre, staples center (also home to the LA Kings).

This quiz lacks Minnesota representation. We've got a football stadium (the Metrodome), a basketball arena (the Target Center - home to both an NBA team and a WNBA team, last time I checked), a hockey arena (the Xcel Energy Center), and opening next spring a brand new baseball stadium (Target Field, aka "the Bullseye"). At least one of those belongs in this quiz!

Just when I thought I couldn't hate naming rights any more, I see Jobing.com Arena. That's worse than half of the college bowl games out there (PapaJohns.com Bowl anyone?)

the NHL is also a joke. Its the weak link of the big 4 and if it wasn't for a small, yet devoted, cult following no one in the US would even know their season has started. The real fans are good one though, there is no such thing as a casual hockey fan.

@jUNKIEd: The Flyers play in the Wachovia Center. The Sixers play in the Wachovia Spectrum. They are less than 1/4 mile apart. Get your facts straight before commenting.

Actually, the Sixers haven't played at the Spectrum in years and it is to be demolished next month. There are still some concerts happening this month but that's it. So junkied actually had his facts straight in the first place. Re the other topic of discussion, I think the MLS is every bit as deserving of inclusion as the NHL, which is a "big 4" sport in name only. Unlike the WNBA, the MLS isn't subsidized by a separate wealthy league in order to stay afloat.

@John, get your facts correct, not that anyone goes to their games, but the Sixers play in the Wachovia Center. The quiz specifies NHL, though, so it renders the discussion moot. My only criticism of the WNBA teams is that I've never heard of either of those teams. WNBA expansion teams are the definition of obscure, but that keeps the quiz from being easy.

What's with all the whining about incorporating the WNBA and MLS? It's a quiz here to test knowledge, not give you easy answers. You don't know the WNBA teams and the MLS teams then you don't know the answers. It's called diversity in material and difficulty, and a quiz only benefits from it.

20/20, hahaha. it helps that i recognized the NBA cities of the WNBA teams immediately; the NHL ones were really obscure so I needed a lot of extra time to guess around for them.
