wow, as a Bills fan I thought it was astonishing how few people remember Marv Levy. He's pretty much the only coach famous for losing Super Bowls because the Bills did it 4 consecutive years.

gots to love Ray Malavasi. Only knew that one because of its obscurity.

hopefully Tomlin will be added to this list later on this evening. Nothing against him just would prefer a Cardinals victory.

Couldn't spell the Pat's coach's name correctly. Also could not remember Levy or Holmgreen's names. No surprise the Raiders' coach from SB II was the least remembered, he was the only one I've never even heard of.

Further to the comment about Levy (I couldn't remember his name) I'm surprised about the low figures for Shula and Landry who are both legends of the game. As a Brit I only got those two and Parcells. I could remember Hank Stram's famous "toss power trap" which is from the year he won but not his name!

whoa, whoa, whoa, Sporcle, I do not like the new way my statistics are organized. It just makes it a little more difficult/annoying to play the quizzes I play the most. I mean, I suppose alphabetical makes sense, but perhaps there could be a button to view alphabetically or by most played?

There's a reason I didn't know the names of the majority of these coaches (aside from the fact that football quizzes aren't my strong suit)

I got all the Redskins coaches and all the coaches the Redskins beat, so I'm fine with my performance.

Only 14 percent got Ken Wisenhunt? Geez, the game was played less than 24 hours ago and people already forgot the names of the coaches?

@Matt: I wonder if it's because Whisenhunt is considered missed on the quizzes before he was added. That is, suppose 3873 people took the quiz before yesterday, and 630 took it after the game and they all got Whisenhunt. But Sporcle would consider that 630/4503 -> 14% total.

Also, they may not know how to spell Whisenhunt's name (like Matt). Myself, I don't follow football as much as I used to. I knew most of the old ones, but I didn't know the name of the Arizona coach until last night. I did manage to remember it today, but no guarantee I'll know it a week from now.

A losing team quiz may be too easy but it could still be interesting. There are a lot of multiple losers. Minnesota, Buffalo and Denver would comprise 12/43 losers by themselves.

I missed Rauch and Miller, both of whom I honestly never heard of. I only knew Ray Malasavi because it's such a unique name, plus the Steelers beats the Rams in that Super Bowl.

Awww. Poor Hank Stram and John Rauch. They just couldn't handle the green and gold in the first two super bowls. Cheeseheads for life. GO PACK GO!

I couldn't remember how to spell Bellechick's name. I knew Rauch, but couldn't remember the spelling. I kept thinking Robinson for the Rams. I completely drew a blank on Levy. But for a Giant fan to forget Fassel? Shame on me.

Someday we'll consider it ridiculous that Ken Whisenhunt and Bill Callahan were competent enough to coach a team to the Super Bowl.

Damn, should have had Berry and Reeves. Also completely forgot about Vermeil and the Eagles back in the day.
