2 of 39...ouch. Only bumped it up to 12 my second time out. Clearly this is not going to be winning Jeopardy category for me without some serious training time.

@Sophie and Daniel: "I came second, I'm from Turkey! I don't know! Would you like some furniture?” ..... never thought I'd find an Eddie Izzard fan on this site. :)

FYI, although there is only one Orhan, Ibrahim and Abdulmecid among the sultans, you need to enter "I" whereas you don't have to do it for Abdulaziz, whom there's also only one.

@Dancinganimal256: I completely agree. Although Bayezid I "The Thunder" is a worthy runner-up.

Love it got them all. The sultans have always fascinated me. 39/39 But the mehmed spelling threw me, as I tended just to call them Muhammad (As they were the leading Muslim power from 1517 to 1922) but realised the proper form is mehmed. Also got stuck on Orhan vs Orkhan. Did you know too, the Etregul was the father of Osman and it was he who was chief of a group of Anatolian horsemen who started the Ottoman empire.

I just took the English, French, Danish, Swedish and Russian monarch quizzes, and I've got to say that those Turks really know how to give a good nickname! Forget "the Great;" they're kings are Magnificent!

Hi, why not allow for alternative answers like *Mehmed the Conqueror* instead of only *Mehmed I the Conqueror*? Also, alternative spellings could be allowed, like Mehmed/Mehmet. Would make it much more intuitive. Great game, though!

Super fun (and challenging) game. I think it should except "Suleiman the Magnificent," though. I was so sad that I didn't get him in.

Could you possibly accept alternate spellings for Ahmed? I realize that's the Turkish spelling, but most 'Monarchs of a country' quizzes allow foreign variants.
