As far as I can see, the highest points of South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland and Connecticut are on their borders with NC, NC, WV and MA, respectively. Many other states have their highest point very close to their borders. Connecticut's highest point is not actually the highest point of that mountain, which is a couple of hundred yards outside the state. |
