It's worded weird, but they're looking for cities with a team in all 4 major pro sports leagues. L.A. doesn't count because it has no football team.

How about London? It has Manchester United Football Club, Hackney Tiddlywinks Crew, The Green Street Elite and The Margaret Thatcher lookalikes club

I think San Fransisco should count for San Fransisco Bay Area, personally. I typed it and it didn't work but I knew it was right.

brandon you are a muppet. Only one of those teams exist as a football team and they are from Manchester. When is say football i dont mean your rubbish american football, i mean real football where you use your feet to kick the ball. Just to let you know Margaret Thatcher is an ex prime minister and Green Street is a hooligan firm. Also we dont use animals or other innocuous characters to name our teams after.

San Jose is part of the "San Francisco Bay area", although it is kinda a stretch to include an "area" with the rest actually being cities.

I can't believe LA is not a 4 sport city. What idiots thought it a good idea to move both NFL teams from the 2nd biggest city in America??

There is no profesional hockey team in San Francisco. There is a hockey team in San Jose wich is 40 miles south of San Francisco. It would be like including Newark, NJ in with New York

There should be a quiz in which there are teams in the 4 sports playing in their home venues within the same city lines. That means no suburbs or nearby municipality, etc. NYC would be off the list in that one.

Bay Area is a 4 sports city because San Jose Sharks is a nhl team and San Jose is one of the Bay Area cities plus san jose is the biggest city 2. san francisco 3. oakland

@J Lopp: The argument is over whether the Bay Area counts as a city, not whether it has a team in each sport.

Better L.A. not have a football team than to go to a game packed with gang bangers in the crowd.

I have to agree that San Francisco Bay Area should not be included. San Jose is not only 45 miles from San Francisco, but the Census Bureau classifies it as a separate metropolitan area from San Francisco and Oakland. That would be like saying that Baltimore teams can be thrown in with Washington teams.

Foxborough, where the pats play, is about 30 miles from boston, but its still counted, plus it would be just a little less fun if it were only 12 cities

"It would be like including Newark, NJ in with New York" . . . Yeah, who would include something like Newark, or the Meadowlands, with NYC?
