If you didn't get at least half of these, you must be living in a van DOWN BY THE RIVER!

Funny, all but a couple of the classic SNL characters I could think of didn't make the list.

Typically, if a cast member had a long tenure on SNL it meant they never made the jump to the big screen or prime time TV. So it's no surprise that this list is mostly comprised of the less popular actors.

"Typically, if a cast member had a long tenure on SNL it meant they never made the jump to the big screen or prime time TV. So it's no surprise that this list is mostly comprised of the less popular actors." Or in the case of Al Franken you become a politician and run for the Senate...

Sorry, chantastic, I have to go with JSChen there - I don't think Will Ferrell is crying much over his movie career, either. ;-)

Patrick: That's why he said "typically." And he is right. It's only logical that if a cast member becomes popular that they'll move on to bigger and better things, leaving the less-popular ones behind.

Should say "through 2008-09 season"... because Hammond is in his fifteenth season, and Kenan Thompson should be on the list for his 7th.

As you're running through names of cast members, does anyone play back the names in Don Pardo's voice?

Al Franken was never an SNL cast member, he was a writer. He was occasionally, a featured player, mainly during Weekend Update, but also with his Stuart Smalley sketches. (**nit nit pick pick**)

Here's my list of top five SNL cast members ever: 1. John Belushi 2. Eddie Murphy 3. Phil Hartman 4. Dan Aykroyd 5. Will Ferrell Notice how only one of these people is in this quiz (and Hartman did go on to Newsradio, which is a totally underrated show in my opinion).

Fred Armisen looks like that creepy uncle who always asks if he can bounce your kids on his knee.
