Quick pop quiz, who was the very first SNL host ever? (Hint: it's not on this list).

snl is Saturday Night Live, a comedy show here in the states.

Easy one Robert...but I don't want to ruin it for others who might want to answer that question, so I'll just say that he died in June and has another quiz on this site about one of his routines.

@shorts8617: Simon has been on the show a total of 12 times, but he has only hosted the show 4 times.

Paul Simon was on SNL at least five times but mostly as a musical guest. He was on the skit when Tom Hanks joined the five timers but he didn't host it five times.

On wikipedia it doesn't list him under the 5 timers but the list of individual show hosts has him hosting 5 different episodes (although one is the 100th episode so maybe something special happened)

Got 7. BM was the only one I didn't get who I would've even thought of. Good quiz! Maybe one for musical guests?

I'd love a quiz on cast members. Would that be too unwieldy?

Got more than half, so I'm happy. I'm upset about missing Candace Bergen, but I'm not sure why.

Paul Simon was in the "5 timers club" sketch, and as such, he deserves a mention here, if only as a bonus answer.

Damn, I blanked on four of these: Henry, Murray, Bergen and Barrymore. I didn't realize Murray had hosted so many times.

If you ask me, Emma Stone should host 15 more times.
