Excellent quiz, although I'd also love to see a per capita version someday, since I figure some countries on this list have small economies purely because they're small in land mass area.

"saint vincent" should count, as it does on other country quizzes.

I agree - I typed in "Saint Vincent" as I do in the other quizzes, and when it didn't work, I just figured it wasn't in the top 25. It ended up being one of two that I missed.

The counter that keeps track of your right answers says "countrys" instead of "countries."

there's no #12 so #13 gets repeated as two different countries despite different economy sizes. somehow got all 25, although the last two I got were the two least frequently solved. great quiz.

Great quiz. Interesting to see the 100fold difference in value from lowest to highest. I agree with the comment above- it would be interesting to have a per capita version.

Interesting. Tuvalu sells out its internet domain name, .tv, for $4 million a year. You'd think that more than just $11 million more would come.

Yes, I'd hardly call Monaco poverty stricken. I kept trying a bunch of African nations since so many are poor. I knew #1 but couldn't remember how to spell it. A per capita quiz would be much better as this is skewed somewhat by their size. San Marino is a city state inside Italy. I doubt they are that poor as many ther e likely work in Italy.

@Lindsay and cocky: Per capita richest and poorest are much more representative measures, yes. They're on their way.

@Ben and cocky: Monaco's full of rich people but they earn their money outside Monaco and only spend enough time there to qualify for residence and low taxes. So they're rich but they don't do much, economically speaking, within Monaco.

Monaco was a shocker--you'd think just the casino and the Formula One race would put it off the charts. At the moment, answer 6 reads "Federates States of Micronesia"--I doubt that throws anyone, since we all just type "Micronesia."

Sort of related to this, can we get a "Least Populated Nations" sometime to go with Most Populated? I suspect many, but not all, of the same countries from this quiz will be on there.

Yes, everyones rich in Monaco, but that doesn't necassarily mean the country itself is loaded.

@Andy B: I compiled it a while ago but it's not made it to the front of the queue to be published yet. A quick count suggests that eighteen of the answers are shared between the two quizzes.

@P. Miller: You'll probably do better at the lowest per capita GDP quiz when I get it sorted out. That consists of countries that people will recognize as poor, whereas this quiz is mainly small countries, to be honest.

david-I don't know if this is the best place to suggest this, but here goes. Is there any way the admins could set up a main discussian board where people could discuss quizzes and suggest new ones?

Question - if I had 15 million, does that mean I could buy Tuvalu?
davidr

@cocky: You can send suggestions (including new quizzes and the suggestion of discussion boards that aren't connected to individual quizzes) to the admins using the feedback link at the bottom of each page.

@Joe Ball: No. It means that, with 15 million, you could do as much economically as all the people of Tuvalu do in a year. GDP is about economic activity, not value of property. So, for example, buying something `generates' GDP but simply owning it doesn't.

Where does the Vatican rank? They can't sell that many figurines of the Pope to generate that much econmic activity.

where does Haiti rank? I would assume that seeing as it is the poorest nation in the caribbean it would also be on this list lower than dominica

@Observer - that's consistent with the other geography games (eg countries of the world; countries of north america; etc.) - you can type in "St Vincent" for "St Vincent and the Grenadines" but you always have to type in "Sao Tome and Principe". Don't know why but i bet davidr does!

I think it should accept "Sao Tome et Principe" like the African and world quizzes do. Missed that and Liberia.

"Sao Tome e Principe" not et, it's Portugeuse right? The world quiz doesn't accept Sao Tome et Principe, but Africa does. I think it's a mistake.

Ou est le Vatican? Clearly doing a fine trade in Pope soap and candles. Or perhaps just royalties off of Dan Brown book/film conversions...

Surprised on how few African nations were on the list. But I did assume that the majority would be island nations. I was looking for Vatican City, but they obviously get tourism or something.

The only one I was surprised by was Liberia. Considering they have over 3 million people (much larger than the next largest population), the standard of living there must be rock bottom.

This is just another smallest country game, they should make it per captia or something, that'd be more interesting
