I'm still not a fan of Sporcle censoring this. The routine was anti-censorshp - if you're in this quiz, you're typing cuss words.

Kevin, you are absolutely right. I don't think that George Carlin would be very happy that his routine about censorship is getting censored.

At the same time, I was using this website last year for a computers class I was teaching. The students would finish their assignments and play Sporcle to "practice typing." There's a lot more than just adults on this website. I felt bad enough when they introduced the ingredients of a Long Island Ice Tea.

@UDMM: It's a specific bit. Carlin used these exact words for his Seven Words You Can't Say On Television.

@magister: very true, i was strongly mistaken on words. I retook the quiz, and for some reason it wouldn't accept anything for "bosom." although it did last time.

@magister yeah but hell if they're on this quiz there's no way they're going to type "Fellatio Aficionado". They'd just type cocksucker.

The point, however, is that when they just click "Give Up?" they're not receiving a list of the 7 words. That's what Google and Wikipedia are for. If they want call someone a Fellatio Aficionado, I think I'd be less severe than if they called them the original term. Especially if they could tell me the Latin root of Fellatio.

Yeah but when they get a link to wikipedia in the answers they can just look up the seven dirty words. Hell they have an entire article devoted to the seven dirty words routine.

yeah I know but when the uncensored version is two clicks away, I don't think making it censored has much of a point. Might just be me nitpicking.

i don't agree with censoring it, though I understand the arguement. I have to admit that I did laugh the first time I typed SPOILERS cocksucker and mother****er and got "fellatio afficiando" and "overly amorous lover of mothers."

I totally heard "Family Reunion" before I ever heard George Carlin. Plus, everything's easier to remember when it goes to a tune.
