This makes me want to read them again. All 13. Including the unauthorized autobiography.

I tried reading the books, but I found them boring. Still though, this is a fun quiz for anyone who likes them.

It seems from the ratings early on that this must be a pretty unpopular series.

The books were better than the movie at the very least... now that was terrible.

Perhaps the quiz could include "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography" as a bonus?

Aw, I liked the movie! I only got 3/13 because I stopped reading the books about halfway through the series, but they are cute books. The names that I missed are familiar now that I see them, of course.

Got 7/13. These were really good books! Short, simple, deep.

Siding with "the Unauthorized Autobiography" as a bonus. Perhaps even "Chapter Fourteen"- while technically the last chapter of "The End", it is displayed as an almost seperate book and is even given it's own title, and dedication pages. (As well as having the sequence of books, including Chapter Fourteen right under The End, before the text.)

I agree - The Unauthorized Autobiography and Chapter 14 should be bonus answers, but I'll add to that that The Beatrice Letters should also be a bonus. Great quiz!!

i use to be a huge junkie of these books. Junkie, a word around here which is used to describe one who is deeply devoted and informed about a topic (you need to have read the books to understand that blurb)

I love these books! I have read 10 so far. But I read them in another language, so it's hard to know the English names.

Never got around to reading the 12th or 13th, but the rest were kinda fun. The unauthorized biography was boring, didn't make any sense. Good quiz!

I'm insanely proud of myself for having remembered all of these. I need to re-read the series, there was so much that I'm sure I didn't catch on to in elementary and middle school. I must say, though, this quiz was a Very Fun Diversion indeed.

Man, there was a time I could remember all of these! I can still see the coverwork, even if I could only remember 4 titles!

I liked them, but I thought the 7th, 8th, and 9th ones were kinda sick. Being burned at the stake, having your head literaly chopped off, and being fed to hungry lions wasn't my idea of cheerful reading.

I used to know these all, in the correct order, along with all the dedications. Now, though they're on the shelf above my bed, and I see them every day... 8/13. And I can only remember a handful of the dedications... I think I ought to reread them.

I got them all correct! I just finished re-reading the series for the first time in years. I had almost forgotten how witty the prose is! Now that I'm older, I can catch more of the literary (and occasionally Monty Python related) allusions. I love the way clues and foreshadowing are hidden throughout the series. @literature_geek: If you are looking for cheerful reading, why the hell would you read a book entitled "A Series of Unfortunate Events"? @ilikesocks: Yes, VFD stood for Volunteer Fire Department, and Beatrice was the Baudelaire's mother.
