I Only Got 15. Shame On Me. I Love European Football, But I Haven't Had The Time To Stay In Tune With It.

I'm right there with you. I can get the old clubs, but the teams who were recently promoted are difficult because I can't keep up in the United States (same with the EPL, La Liga, etc.).

I really enjoy this quiz. It reminds me of last spring when grad school was done, and I had spring break at my school, and I spent the rest of the season watching every AC Milan and Manchester United game.

interesting to see the full names of some clubs, such as Genoa Cricket and Football Club. Good old-fashioned Italian there...
Feb 6th, 2009 at 14:36 GMT
Genoa was founded by Brits, so no real surprise about the name. ;)
Feb 18th, 2009 at 11:21 GMT
Got the 20th with a second to spare. Forgot Catania stayed up on the final day last year.
Mar 12th, 2009 at 14:49 GMT
AC Milan was also founded as a cricket club by British expats. That's why even Italians call it Milan and not Milano.

Shouldn't the version "Atalanta Bergamo" be accepted? It contains both the club and the city name. Not everyone knows how to create adjective (bergamsco) from a city name in the Italian language.

This quiz needs updated for the 2009-2010 season.
Nov 15th, 2009 at 02:19 GMT
Damn! 17/20 is a ****ty score for a lover of football, though this was last season's table. Missed Atalanta, Reggina and Siena. Boo...
Nov 25th, 2009 at 20:27 GMT
So Close! 19/20, can't believe i missed out lecce. I usually get the obscure ones
Dec 12th, 2009 at 02:12 GMT
I'm surprised that I got all 20! Usually names of the more obscure clubs are difficult for me...
Mar 16th, 2010 at 14:12 GMT
its the 09-10 clubs, but the information still says 08-09.
Mar 18th, 2010 at 20:47 GMT
If anyone wants to try it. I made a quiz where you have to name every club that has ever played in Serie A. http://www.sporcle.com/games/sc00/AllSerieAClubs

It would be really great if just Cesena and Lecce were acceptable instead of having to write out their full names.
Nov 19th, 2010 at 13:07 GMT
Good quiz - missed Parma somehow. Remember them being good in the 90's briefly, when they had Asprilla & co...
Mar 1st, 2011 at 09:23 GMT
Cesena and Lecce?
Mar 16th, 2011 at 13:53 GMT
agree, don't understand why Lecce isn't accepted. didn't try Cesena, but would agree that that should be accepted too.
Mar 28th, 2011 at 21:04 GMT
not happy...You should accept Cesena and Lecce instead of their full names. I was just about to complete it but i didn't know how to spell Cesena's full name....but i am giving my self full marks anyway
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 20:30 GMT
Missed on Cesena and Lecce because apperently only the full name was accepted and I didn't know them by their full names.
Apr 22nd, 2011 at 21:03 GMT
I'm going to echo the suggestion that Lecce and Cesena should be accepted. If Inter or Milan or Genoa or any of the other short names work, then why not those two?
Jul 21st, 2011 at 22:37 GMT
When did Sampdoria get relegated?
Sep 1st, 2011 at 21:42 GMT
@Happ_Hazzard: at the end of the 2010-11 season. Note: there are only 19 teams on this quiz, but should be 20. You are missing Novara.
Jan 24th, 2012 at 14:24 GMT
15. I knew Cagliari but I couldn't spell it.
Feb 8th, 2013 at 00:27 GMT
kind of disappointed with 17. Missed Udinese, Parma and Genoa
