After you update this one, I know it is a huge undertaking but, go for the whole House of Reps.

I know most of these are current until next year, but Obama should be removed now since he did resign. Didn't Biden as well?

Roland Burris? Or shall we wait until the Democrats block him from the Senate?

Needs to be updated. John Warner (R-VA) should be replaced by Mark Warner (D-VA). Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) by Kay Hagen (D-NC). Ted Stevens (R-AK) by Mark Begich (D-AK). Gordon Smith (R-OR) by Jeff Merkley (D-OR). John Sununu (R-NH) by Jeanne Shaneen (D-NH). Wayne Allard (R-CO) by Mark Udall (D-CO). Pete Domenici (R-NM) by Tom Udall (D-NM). Norm Coleman (R-MN) by Al Franken (D-MN). Larry Craig (R-ID) by Jim Risch (R-ID). Chuck Hagel (R-NB) by Mike Johanns (R-NB). Ken Salazar (D-CO) will resign when appointed Secretary of Interior, He will by Michael Bennet (D-CO). Joe Biden (D-DE) will resign when inagurated as Vice President, He will be replaced by Ted Kaufman (D-DE). Hilary Clinton (D-NY) will resign when confirmed as Secretary of State, her replacement has not yet been formally named. Barack Obama (D-IL) has resigned to prepare to become President, Roland Burris (D-IL) was named as his replacement, however the Senate refuses to seat Burris.

I think a lot of people google this one. i consider myself a political junkie and I can name only about 66-68 of US senators. You can't tell me 25% know more.

@martin, i've never googled it and can usually get all 100. It's just a matter of memorization.

Definitely time to update. With Gillibrand being appointed in New York and Burris seated and Bennett seated we now have the full 100 members of the senate again.

Thanks for the update, but now a bunch of states have their junior senator listed above their senior senator (AK, CO, DE, ID, MN (probably), NE, NH, NM, NC, VA). Can't imagine that's too hard to fix though. Also, Jim DeMint's first name is misspelled.

what exactly have Lieberman and Dodd done to be so commonly guessed? Id expect the senators from the larger states to be guessed more.
Jinxo

Well, Dodd is the chairman of the Banking Commitee and was in the news quite a lot ragrding the bank bailout. And Lieberman was on the ticket along with Gore in 2000 and then endorsed McCain in 2008, so he's pretty well-known I guess.

Dodd also ran for president. Ah, got all 100 even though I didn't know who was replacing Salazar in Colorado - thanks, Bill Ritter, for naming someone whose name is exactly the same as another senator, but one letter shorter - got me the perfect.

Chris Dodd is pretty visible. He was in the movie "Dave" and was the the emcee at a few presidential inagurations.

I think I got 52/100 or something the first time I tried this. After a few tries, I now have them all memorized and can usually get a perfect 100 every time. I'm sure this will come in handy some day...

Also, I second weinspaz's request for a House of Reps quiz. 435 names in one quiz is a bit much though, so maybe break it up into census regions?

Wow. After playing this maybe a dozen times, I can get a perfect 100. I'm pretty impressed with myself. When I first thought of a quiz for the House, I thought that would be way to big an undertaking, but considering I memorized the Senate so quickly, maybe the House would be a good challenge.

Another good quiz would be one which divided the Senators by party rather than by state. I'm now able to name both senators from each state, but I bet if you asked me to name all the Democrats in the Senate, I wouldn't be able to.

I am surprised Graham is so low despite his high profile during the presidential campaign, and Burris is about ten from last, which I would never think would happen considering ALL the news.

It's because he wasn't added until much more recently than most of the others. It's no coincidence that all the senators voted in in 2008 (or appointed in '08 or '09) are last

I really wish there was a way to mix up the order of the states when taking this quiz. I've found that I automatically associate certain Senators with positions on the screen but that I can't always name the state they are from when not on Sporcle. ie. I know that Sessions and Shelby are always in the top left but it takes me a minute to remember they are from Alabama.
