A lot tougher than I expected. Is there a better clue for "Crash" than Cheadle? I think of that as more of a Matt Dillon movie, but that's just me.

Maybe it's just my UVA roots, but wouldn't Dave Matthews make for sense than Gwen Stefani as a clue for "Crash"?

I don't mean to nitpick, but the Roy Orbison song is actually "Oh, Pretty Woman". Maybe accept that too?

johnlk, being a huge Dave fan myself i would love to agree with you, but the name of the song is technically "Crash into Me."

Fun quiz, and I'm SO glad to see "My Best Friend's Girl" on here, one of my all-time favorite songs! Although the movie was definitely mediocre.

I suppose the Will Smith/Will Smith clue for Men in Black would be too obvious.

There were only five in the whole thing where I had heard of both the song and the film. And the biggest gimme I could think of - Breakfast at Tiffanys - wasn't even there. Not a top quiz in my own humble opinion.

No love for the Grateful Dead? Brokedown Palace, Candyman....I know there are a few others (lesser known movies, slight variations such as "The...", etc.) Maybe look into a well known one for a sequel?

@Dan I think Men In Black would go against the fourth qualifier that the song couldn't be expressly written for the movie...Wild Wild West could have been Kool Moe Dee/Will Smith but not Will Smith/Will Smith for the same reason Just out of curiousity, how many times did the song come after the movie?

^^^ yeah. I didn't read that part, whoops. And the less said about the movie Wild Wild West is the better. That movie was terrible.

Weird, I got 7, and could possibly have guessed 4 further ones if I'd had enough time, but the other 19, I haven't heard of at all - film OR song. Does this mean I get out too much or not enough?

On almost all of these the song is older than the film. In a few of them e.g. Sweet Home Alabama, Stand By Me, American Pie, My Girl, Jumpin' Jack Flash the film is at least partly named after the song. Good quiz. As a Brit I might have got Bad Boys if the musical clue had been Wham!!

When it says Gwen Stefani is Crash, was that song linked to the movie? Because I know at least one more other song called Crash that is more well known.
