	Why are Michael I, Paul I and Constantine I all known as "the first" when there was never a second? (But Simeon, Anna and Elizabeth weren't.) Queen Elizabeth I of England was known as "Queen Elizabeth" until the Elizabeth II came to the throne.

	1598's ruler should be acceptable by first name only, since he's the only ruler with that name. And the spellings should be a little more liberal (Nicholas/Nikolai, Catherine/Ekaterina)

	Spelling issues. Also IMO Boris Godunov should be named both with first and last name since he didn't belong to any dynasty.

	Spelling should definitely more liberal - I repeatedly couldn't figure out that you wanted "Aleksey I". Also, Constantine was never tsar.

	Constantine never actually ruled. Upon the Death of Alexander I, Constantine immediately abandoned any rights to the throne to his little brother Nicholas. He had married a Polish woman and would therefore have not been eligible to inherit the throne.

	@davidr Mikhail I is written as such because after Nikolai II abdicated the throne both on his behalf and on his son's, his younger brother Mikhail is generally considered to be his successor. However, Mikhail didn't want the position and, no doubt influenced by the Russian Civil War at the time, abdicated also. There is no hard and fast rule about whether he should be counted or not, but he "ruled" for roughly one day. Ended up getting shot too if I remember correctly.

	You should allow more than the most hardcore russian spellings. Alexei or Alexey Romanov should be acceptable along with Basil or Vasily. You should warn that these are not western spellings. I would have got 100% but only got about 60% because of these silly restrictions. 1 star only

	Alexei needs to be accepted. When you're switching alphabets, the spellings need to be a lot more liberal.

	As johnlk already mentioned, Constantine was only briefly proclaimed tsar, but never confirmed, let alone crowned: he doesn't really count... I think you should at least mention it somehow (something like "1825*" as the clue?).

	there arent enough accepted spellings. The Russian alphabet is different from this one so there should be a lot of alternates. I didnt get "dmitri donskoi" cuz i spelled it "dmitri donskoy"

	I agree with the sentiment about the spellings. There are a number of accepted ways to transliterate names and the answers seem to jump between the styles and alternates like Alexei or Aleksei should be accepted. Ivan Grozny should also be accepted for Ivan the Terrible.

	@Amkirby - as the Russian word czar is a Cyrillic word, it is correctly in the cyrillic alphabet. There are multiple possible transliterations used for some Russian words. See the controversy over Aleksey/Alexei above.

	Please be more lenient on the spellings! I was utterly in despair about Alexei...
