I like this quiz- very interesting topic. I don't remember seeing the name "BobbyD629" before- is this your first quiz? If so, congrats (and if not, I simply didn't pay close enough attention before). Anyway, I knew thirteen, got two from their titles (i.e. "Year of the Horse"), and guessed three more... I'll take 18.

Great quiz, just proves I need to brush up on my music between 1998 and 2006!!

I know Anvil isn't a platinum selling band, but "The Story of Anvil" is a great rockumentary.

I know about half (plus the bonus!) and then turned it into the "start naming groups" game and picked up a few more more that way.

@Mike - I think the problem with Anvil! The Story of Anvil is that it says the bands name twice in the title which would make it a real give away in Sporcle.

How did less than 30% get Sign O The Times? It's the name of one of his biggest albums/songs!

I would give almost anything to have been at the Last Waltz concert. The list of performers is amazing.

Dewey Cox should be a bonus answer also. Ain't nothin bad gonna happen today...

Dewey Cox wasn't a rockumentary. Adding that would mean you have to add The Wall, The Pick of Destiny, etc. Besides, quit suggesting stuff as bonuses. That's retarded.

@Scotto - The funny thing is, I've never heard of Anvil so I probably wouldn't have gotten it. Fun quiz.

Fantastic quiz, well done. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart was excellent, but hard to watch at times. Seeing such a creative musical partnership unravel like that was awful. Also, i'm not suggesting other answers, but did anyone see the Joe Strummer doc, The Future Is Unwritten? Beautiful.

@Iceman: Walk the Line is a biopic about an artist, not a rockumentry
@Daser: Again, it is not a rockumentry - it is simply a movie based on an album.

LOVE the bonus! Also, The Wall wasn't a Rockumentary, it was a rock opera.

I must be getting really old got almost all on the first column and practically none in the second. Why weren't the Commitments at least a bonus answer?

Heh, I looked at this and thought "I can only think of two" - I thought you meant fake bands for some reason. So Spinal Tap and the other which I think should also be a bonus- Hard Core Logo, the eponymous film of this band is Canada's answer to This Is Spinal Tap. I could guess some though, knowing that it was actually *real* bands lol!

Audioslave's "Live in Cuba" would be a good answer on this quiz. They were the first American band to perform in Cuba, and the concert was free!

I'm like mark, got most of the first column, and I didn't know most of the second column but I managed to guess a bunch. I was happy to get 17 by guessing the big bands of the last two decades. Damn time is flying.

While I agree that The Wall is a film, not a documentary, Live at Pompeii should have made the list. When it comes to any list on music, Pink Floyd has to be included.

are you sure that "bring on the night" is a documentary about Sting and not The Police? And I agree with YankeeJets2310 - PULSE should have been on the list

Bring On The Night is the name of a song by The Police, but the documentary is about Sting and his jazz project. The Police broke up in 1984 and this documentary came out in 1985

I wish it would accept TMBG instead of having to write out They Might Be Giants. Otherwise great quiz, I only got half though, 13 counting the bonus.

You should add "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" and "It Might Get Loud."
