I don't think the answer to "a lazy soup" actually rhymes in most English dialects...

If it were a
rotund saltwater fish
, it could be "fat sprat".

But a flounder is a salt-water fish, so it wouldn't fit the definition.

I also tried scream cream. Got hard lard at the last second. Missed sloth broth, drab lab and scary dairy. Fun quiz!

I would have never gotten "non-translucent pastry" considering i don't consider cake a pastry... Great quiz though! Got everything but that.

@Doctor_Tom: I don't know if "fattish" is a word, but I do know it doesn't rhyme with catfish. And opaque is pronounced oh-pake.

I also tried big-ass bass before coming up with 'stout trout.' I got stuck on "complementary" and was thinking in terms of kind, nice, polite instead of free. I came up with "dear beer", but that wasn't accepted.

I think "Sloth Broth" is doing poorly because of a disagreement in part of speech between the hint and answer. "Lazy" is an adjective and "Sloth" is a noun. "Laziness Soup" might be more successful.

"Husky Muskie" (as in Muskellunge) is another alternate answer for the fish one.
