	Who was the President in Season One?!! DAMNIT, Sporcle, we're running out of TIME!!!! Oh wait, it's in the bonus answer..whoops, sorry for the tasering. Hal Gardner is my favorite, just because his name seems to be an amalgamation of Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner...Hurmm..and maybe 'Logan' is a reference to Wolverine..and 'Palmer' for 'Ray Palmer', aka the Atom. gasp 24 writers are comic nerds! Or, it's all a big coincidence and I'm the nerd here. Yeah, that's probably it.

	This has always bothered me, and this was one of the reasons- along with it being generally horrible- that I gave up on the show three episodes into season six: How the hell could Wayne Palmer ever be elected President of the United States? (Sure, you could also ask how GW Bush could be elected president, but that's another story.) Apparently, going to Yale law, being a Marine who never saw combat, and being the second-choice Chief of Staff for your brother- and despite having never held elected office and being single- is enough to get support from American voters nowadays. Thank god our actual President is a bit more qualified.

	I'm actually a heathen who's never seen it. How many presidents would a healthy guy in the prime of his life actually 'serve' under? Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford. That's 1974 - 2009. 35 years. Each series is supposed to last a day?

	I love 24, but it really does make you see how many Presidents they got through within 10/11 years. If that had been reality, the US would've been in serious foreign affair troubles - particularly in the Prescott/Logan/Gardner period.

	Bonus answer: Mitchell Hayworth? I think we should assume that he (VP under Taylor on Day 7) took over when Taylor resigns at the end of Day 8. It makes as much sense as Gardner (who also never served on the show, but is assumed to have taken over when Logan resigns at the end of Day 5).
