Could they not have updated it any better? It should be alphabetised again rather than having the new clubs slotted straight into the positions of the old ones. And how come for the older ones you can just ype in the place name ('Blackburn', 'Newcastle' etc.) but for the new three you have to type in the full name of the club? ('Stoke City', rather than just 'Stoke')

"Man U" is acceptable, but "Man City" is not.

the england team in '66... i think they skipped that one because you'd be the only one to know any of them. as for stoke city... did you say the team who played it's first season in 1888-89 is a "new" team? maybe that's a dumb question, i don't follow soccer at all (it's a snoozer)

When I say new I mean new to this quiz because Stoke only got back into the top flight this season.

I think making 'West Brom' acceptable would be good. No one here ever says West Bromwich Albion when talking about them.

Why doesn't it accept West Brom and Man City.

@ stefan and shelly: That's because its their only big claim to fame (:D haha) and anyway quite a few players didnt play for West Ham, even if the captain and Geoff Hurst did...

@aaron W: You are a plonker. Moore was the captain not Hurst. Hurst scored a hatrick in the final.

@god: i don't think aaronW said that hurst was the captain. i think what he said is equivalent to "geoff hurst and the captain"

A few months ago I decided to pick a Premier League team to root for, and chose the Blackburn Rovers because their initials are the same as my favorite NFL team (The Baltimore Ravens). It's tough to follow over here in the states though because there's never any European soccer on TV. I was only able to name 7 here, but it's inspired me to get interested in the premier league and try to follow. Go Rovers!!

Can't wait until this is updated for the new season! I'm looking forward to putting Newcastle in the Football League quiz instead of this one.
