re: Yanks= Pixar has a tradition of using John Ratzenberger for every movie. There's lots of weird traditions at Pixar. Should have added the Mac-In-Talk voice for AUTO in Wall-E.

For Gill, all I could think was it was the same guy who played Norman Osbourne / Green Goblin. One of those ones where I knew the name I just couldn't remember it

@Jaspers: I got the reference too. It was one of my favorite episode of Cheers because of the Trebek cameo.

@ Yank: they even make a joke of it, at the end of Cars Mack watches Pixar movies with a car twist and says 'Hey... they're just using the same actor over and over. What kind of cut-rate production is this?'

@Novan why would you ever refer to Samuel L. Jackson without the L anyway? If you mentioned a Samuel Jackson in conversation I wouldn't be sure who you meant.

I'm bad enough at paying attention to actors in films where I can see them, never mind where I can only hear them. Only got four, and two of those are the same person. Question: How is "Larry The Cable Guy" someone's name?

watched Wall-e on friday and saw Up on saturday. the timing on this quiz was great. i also really liked the short cartoon "Partly Cloudy" at the beginning of Up. I thought it was a great testament to how so much can be said without saying a word. I also found parts of Up worked well at conveying emotion with the unstated.

How can you list the Underminer- a character that has two lines- but not list the kids for "The Incredibles"? The first thing I typed in was (Sarah) Vowell, and then I was bitterly disappointed.

@kicking: completely agree. Spencer Fox was great as dash. The only reason he would be on here is because they wanted to have Ratzenberger for every movie, and cause Fox and Vowell aren't really household names

@DerKomissar: You can get 12 for Cheers (Jeniffer Tilly almost married Frasier in one episode), and if you count the show Frasier, it's 13 because of David Hyde Pierce (Jennifer Tilly was in Frasier too). I guess pixar just likes those shows.

I think they should accept Macintalk for ships computer, because its not clear who they mean, and auto is much more important then the ships computer.

Ian Holm has made loads of films. You might be interested to know that he played Frodo in a BBC radio production of LOTR in the 80s. Great quiz but I couldn't remember John Ratzenburger's name -knew he'd been in them all and could picture him from Cheers.
