Webster's New Millennium Dictionary of English gives: Greek: "kolon" and "kolobathristes" Liddell and Scott's Greek-English Lexicon gives an apparently unrelated definition of "kolon" and nothing for "kolobathristes." Unless I don't know how to read the Lexicon, which is entirely possible.

God I love all the useless trivia I pick up on this site - next time someone freaks out over lightning I'll calmly inform them that it's a mild case of emetophobia and there's nothing to fear.

This is great, I can now tell a good half of my friends that they're coulrophobic and they won't have a clue what I'm saying.

As all the answers end in -phobia, surely just putting the first bit of any answer should suffice?! Difficult enough anyway. I thought Cocophobia was going to do for fear of clowns!!

there are multiple acceptable terms for fear of flying, as according to Merriam Websters and the DSM for specific phobia. They should include all of them, no? aerophobia, aviatophobia, aviophobia or pteromechanophobia

Those with fear of heights should not look at the percentage drop between acrophobia and the six below it.

Great quiz. Some other suggestions: Ailurophobia- fear of cats, Triskaidekaphobia- fear of the number 13, and hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia- fear of long words!
