You should probably make the time limit two minutes - maybe even less.

Okay nice quiz. I deleted my comment because it was being pounded. I would like to see a sequel, with less time so people won't be getting out calculators. (And Jalepeno, if you were a genius, or genious, you would be able to spell words)

wait...i did most of them in decimal and they all worked, but then 1/16 and 1/20 i couldn't write in decimal form, it had to be in percent form. that should be remedied.

Don't worry GeoExpert, your comment was fine and very funny. Some people obviously don't know humor when they see it, but it's okay!

Also, I liked the length of time because for some of them I needed to do math. Just because someone doesn't have it memorized doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to do the quiz. There is a LOT of elitism on this site and I don't like it. What does it hurt you if there's more time than you, personally, need? Ok, then you finish early and be on your way. Let other people have a chance to do the quiz!

pretty easy, especially since it repeats denominators so many times. if you can get 2/5, why even bother asking for 4/5?

It's 06:16 local time, the first coffee of the day has barely hit bottom - and I finished with 7 seconds to spare. Time for another coffee - or maybe a lie down....

Usually I hate math, but that was quite fun! I had to think a little. Got 9 of 16. Then I gave up. But I'll definitely try and learn them all one day.

i noticed on some the quiz was taking the decimal answers and on other ones it was only taking the percent answers.

On the quiz results page, Sporcle always has the answers hyperlinked to Wikipedia. On this quiz though, none of the links work, since the percentage symbol is represented as "%25" in HTTP encoding. Also, I don't think Wikipedia actually has entries for most of these fractions.

An unfortunate side effect of the fact that Sporcle ignores punctuation is that, for example, typing "625" works for both 1/16 (6.25%) and 5/8 (62.5%). In a quiz like this the placement of the decimal point is significant, so it shouldn't be ignored.

Why is the time length such a problem for people. It took me about 1:30 or so, but if you can do it quicker, then hooray for you. If people use calculators, how is that a problem. This isn't a test for school, its just an online game. I'll never uderstand why people want the time limit as short as humanly possible.

This one was very easy - since most of the people can count, very challenging time limit would make it much more fun. BTW - not having to write decimal points (like now) is a good thing in such case, but people should know that in advance.

@King Slazo, why would you half the 33.3333? It is 1/2 + 1/3 or .5+.333333 :)

Oh and if you want the decimal point/punctuation thing fixed, replace the "." with the word "point".

Wow, finished with just one second left! For some reason it took me ages to figure out 1/16. I kinda know the others but I kept mistyping. Embarrassing for me since I'm (hopefully) starting a maths degree in September/October!
