| A number of notes (no matter how unpopular it may make me). Speaking as someone who has seen CCBB, Slumdog, The Reader, Milk, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon, and a number of other great movies this year, I have to agree that the Dark Knight should be nominated. I think it was undoubtedly one of the three best movies this year. The oscar probably should have gone to Slumdog, but best director belonged to Van Sant, and he got robbed. Ledger totally deserved his Oscar.
And the Godfather Part 3 was really a quite dreadful movie. Don't get me wrong, the first two are two of my favorite movies, but the third was a catastrophe. And it may have been nominated because of its name, but it had no real chance of winning |
