I've only appreciated Vin Diesel in two movies: Saving Private Ryan and The Iron Giant. Regardless, you're a genius Ben. Keep up the good quizzes!

David Bowie's film is spelt wrong. I also believe Bruce Willis starred in Apocalypse in 1998. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0176457/

The number of times I tried to type in the L movie and was convinced I was right - glad to see I'm not going mad and it's just a misspelling!

I tried the L one about 5 different ways, and was thinking I was nuts, since I was sure I knew it. Now I see it was spelled wrong, so I don't feel so bad. I only missed the A one, which I'm fine with, since I tried to erase that movie from my memory as soon as I finished watching it. Great, great quiz. A lot of fun.

I kept thinking up one-word movies for the actors that weren't the right letter (Unbreakable for Willis, Palmetto for Harrelson, Sphere for Hoffman). A very frustrating, but fun, quiz. Nice job!

Patrick Dempsey is two Sporcle quizzes today! That has got to be a sign of some sort. And as Diane said, I kept getting hung up on mismatching the clues and the letters - for me the big hangup with Demi Moore in Striptease. Fun quiz, Ben.

I missed the Dennis Quaid one because I thought it was 2 words and the Eddie Murphy one because I thought it was 'bert' instead of 'bit.' Great quiz. I want a sequel - lots more one word movies out there. :)

@ davidr: Sure, but I'd probably leave it at just that. I think the Bible would be taken less seriously if god was all like, "My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Armageddon and the Zoolander, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

Actually, in retrospect, the NATO idea might not be a good move, either: "I repeat--we have a NORBIT-level security breach!"

Fun idea, Ben -- thanks! I much preferred this to the "name all the so-and-so movies" format. I must have typed in "Rambo" five times for Stallone, though -- it was driving me crazy -- though I guess the year is what makes the real answer right. It's so hard to think of anything else once you're convinced you have the "right answer", though...

I wasn't a huge fan of this quiz. I think the idea is great, but some of the choices bothered me, like "Meatballs" "braveheart" and waterworld." I guess they're technically one word, but I think there are better choices out there that aren't compound words like "Big" instead of "Braveheart" etc.

Strictly speaking surely "xXx" is more than one word I've always heard it described as "Triple X". On the other hand I challenge anyone to come up with a truly one letter film title beginning with X.

Wow. I think I would've gotten a lot more of these if I had remembered which actors were in them. As it stands I got Braveheart, Casablanca, Labyrinth, Meatballs, Norbit, Rocky, Shrek, Titanic, and Zoolander. My big "How the f- did I miss THAT one??" one was definitely Gladiator.

@statto while the movie is often referred to as Triple X, technically the title is xXx. This might not be commonly known simply because no one wants to try to pronounce how that would sound

Fun quiz, but I didn't do good. Somehow I guessed the Y-one... not sure how I feel about that. Oh, and I was certain that the L movie was called Leprechaun, and that I was spelling it wrong... Bowie did play a leprechaun king in the movie didn't he?

@Zalx: Your mind did not invent Xanadu - it is a legitimate film. Well, maybe not "legitimate"...
