Bush, Cake, Hole, Tonic, Augustana, Paramore, Semisonic, Blur, Fastball, Lit, Sublime, and Starship (sorta), so plenty left over for a part II. Good quiz.

Not a bad idea, but maybe the bands named for a place should have been reserved for a separate quiz.

I can think of a good 3 songs by the band that sings "My Own Prison" before I thought of that song.

Santana has no place on this quiz. He belongs under "one named musicians". That said, this was a great quiz, for which I got at least three or four answers before looking at the clues.

@dbcint: I disagree. The band is collectively known as Santana. The guitar player is known as Carlos Santana. Perhaps it's different with his newer material, but the clue given is most certainly in reference to the band and not the individual.

re: Santana. Can we stave off the next comment of that nature by reminding everyone that Blondie is the name of the band, and the name of the blonde lead singer is Debbie Harry? :)

@JoeGrizzly: I was assuming that `bands with initials' was meant to exclude bands like AC/DC, R.E.M. and INXS. But I'd say that the slash is pretty close to making it two `words' anyway.

Got all of them except These Dreams by Heart. Maybe more people would of got Foreigner if 'I wanna know what love is' was the track given.

JoeGrzzly: Hot Blooded made it to #3 on the Billboard charts; Juke Box Hero was only #26. Come Sail Away made it to #8; Grand Illusion was never a hit. Both Styx and Foreigner do have bigger hits but not the ones you mentioned.

Am I the only person who didn't know Whitesnake was one word? I saw the name of the song, immediately thought White Snake, but dismissed it because I thought it was 2 words. Dang!!

Far too easy, though I guess there was just no way for it to not be easy (especially for someone who listens to far too much music). I got 15 before I even looked at the clues, and every single one I guessed was there except for Scorpions.

@George9191: When you hit one of the arrows, it sends a message to the server to increase or decrease the score and the server sends back the new score. So, what happened to you was that you clicked the up arrow but, in the time since you'd downloaded the page, two people had already down-arrowed the comment. They took it from -1 to -3 and you took it back up to -2 but you didn't get to see the intermediate stages.
