	@FlyingSquirrel: Half? I don't think so. OK, many of them are about the US but most of these things are widely known about outside the US. I'd say that only six of those (Cutlass/88/Alero, the CBS and PBS shows, the newspaper, the beer and the nickname of Virginia) are really difficult for people outside the US. And I guessed the newspaper from the pattern that most US newspapers are called the City-Name Something, which doesn't leave many options for new or old.

	First off, Burton, the correct title is "The 40-Year-Old Virgin", which is also grammatically correct. So, no offense, but you were wrong twice. Second, I got 26, and two of them were the damned alcohol ones (not that I have anything wrong with people who drink; I'm just not one of them).

	@ Zala Greensbury- while nova may mean "new" in gaelic, the fact is that the english word new is not a part of the name, and it therefore does not fit into the context of the quiz. on another note, i kept trying new brunswick for that clue, even though i knew it wasn't the answer, but i could not come up with newfoundland until right at the end
