Woot! I miss the Giuliani days (earlier ones of course) and then everything after 9-11. Bloomberg's good too, at least he tries.

I'm a lifelong New Yorker, but only got those within my lifetime, plus LaGuardia.

Well, I got the last four correct. Not bad since I live in the Midwest.

clearly the ones I got were thetop 5 gotten, and nothing else. and I've met Dinkins. All he does now is say how much he loves Obama, and denies fueling the Crown Heights Riots. as if

So it seems that doing well on the NYC bridges and tunnels quiz won't actually help me on this one. Darn.

Mayor Lenny should be a bonus! "I spent an hour in my room last night talking to Fiorello La Guardia, and he's been dead for forty years. Now where are the Ghostbusters?"

I thought there was a mayor named Fiorella. Didn't realize it was actually La Guardia's first name. Oh well.

Dinkins would have beaten Giuliani if not for Lloyd Braun's name tag suggestion.

I'll second Chicago mayors--there's enough people there who are nationally famous.

I'm slightly mortified because I did much of the editing of Wikipedia's year-by-year article on New York City mayoral elections (as well as the specific article on the 1917 mayoral election and most of the one on Ardolph Loges Kline), and yet I still couldn't come up with two (Van Wyck and McKee). But to look on the bright side: if I only got 90% of them, then your own score should look better by comparison. :-)

The first one has a road named after him. Other than that, I can't say there were any that I missed that I should have known, or fancied an educated guess. My knowledge (save for the airport guy) pretty much stopped at the People's Court judge.

Got Koch, Bloomberg and Giuliani (I'm not convinced I spelt the latter right). The only other three I've heard of are La Guardia (because of the airport), Lindsay (because he won as the Liberal Party nominee) and Dinkins (because of A Tribe Called Quest song).

This was a very good quiz to offer. I did quite poorly on it, because I only knew a handful, but still quite educational.

Got all modern era ones except for Impellitteri. The only thing Van Wyck I ever heard of is the expressway and I lived in NY my whole life. Great Quiz! Learned a little something.

I knew everyone in my lifetime, which is since Wagner. I also knew LaGuardia because he is possibly the most famous and Walker because of a Bob Hope movie. The only other one that maybe I should have gotten is O'Dwyer.

Dinkins I got because he was and remains the only African-American mayor of New York. Giuliani due to his hardassed crime policies and 9/11 Koch because he fixed New York's economic problems after Lindsay screwed it up LaGuardia was instrumental in building much of the modern infrastructure in New York due to the Great Depression.
