I saw a lack of a Nirvana-specific quiz on the site and felt it was a hole that needed to be filled. Have fun, everybody... and don't forget that final single.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 16:29 GMT
I'm a bit surprised "Lake of Fire" isn't on there...one of my favorite Nirvana songs.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 16:34 GMT
cheers kicking222, a good quiz. I got 9 which is probably the least you can expect from someone who owns this cd!
Jun 30th, 2009 at 16:34 GMT
molly's lips & love buzz?
Jun 30th, 2009 at 16:44 GMT
I was surprised by the lack of Love Buzz. 14/14
Jun 30th, 2009 at 16:53 GMT
@indiekid... apparently not the least you can expect... I own it and I only got 6. For "In Bloom" all I could come up with was that I thought the title had something to do with flowers. Awesome.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 17:10 GMT
nice 14 but shouldn't "where did you sleep last night?" be a bonus answer?
Jun 30th, 2009 at 17:18 GMT
well, as I only have the album Nevermind & the singles of Rape Me and The Man Who sold the world 6 is good :) Surprised by no Breed :(
Jun 30th, 2009 at 17:38 GMT
@rsdwv5 - Lake of Fire is actually a Meat Puppets song that they just covered on the Unplugged disc, although The Man Who Sold the World is a Bowie cover that they included on the greatest hits album...
Jun 30th, 2009 at 17:52 GMT
Well done, Kicking222! You filled a need well. My problem (as with so many of the music quizzes) is that I can sing the entire song in my head but can't come up with the title. Also, I thought "Polly" was on there, for some reason.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 17:55 GMT
Glad I have the CD in my car. 14/14 Great quiz
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:14 GMT
Also surprised by no Negative Creep.

i f@#$ing hate this band. i wish every radio station would stop having wet dreams about them and stop playing their songs. they are dead and have been for quite some time now. move on with your lives and listen to some new music for a change public radio.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:28 GMT
Yeah. Same with the Beatles, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Joy Division and Billy Holiday. Do people not realise that once an artist or band has stopped recording, their songs slowly but surely decrease in quality. It's weird but true, and radio stations should realise it!
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:30 GMT
I'm not a big Nirvana fan (all I got was the 98% answer), but I like this 'greatest hits' quiz genre much more than 'name the albums'.
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:34 GMT
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:45 GMT
Got everything but the 2nd most popular...thanks for the Nirvana quiz! I agree, it's more fun naming the greatest hits than naming albums. For example, I could name exactly zero Rolling Stones albums for a recent quiz, but I know like half of the songs on "Forty Licks."
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:49 GMT
jbear, dare I ask what music you would recommend for a quiz?
Jun 30th, 2009 at 18:55 GMT
@jbear: didn't know there had been a mass suicide of the other band members in the past couple of hours, I thought only kurt had kicked the bucket. And if you do f***ing hate the band, why bother trying to do the f***ing quiz!
Jun 30th, 2009 at 19:37 GMT
You're right jbear, and judging from your avatar you think we need more Swedish death metal quizzes?
Jun 30th, 2009 at 20:38 GMT
Where did you sleep last night should be a bonus answer at least, it's on my copy of the album
Jun 30th, 2009 at 20:44 GMT
@indiekid:Yes it's part of the album. It should be added to the quizz.I'd love to have the same quizz for their other albums :) Nirvana is my favorite band
Jun 30th, 2009 at 21:21 GMT
lol i only knew smells like teen spirit
Jun 30th, 2009 at 21:40 GMT
what about the bonus tracks ;-)
Jul 1st, 2009 at 00:21 GMT
i don't have the bonus tracks on my album--the bonus tracks are only featured on the internationally released CDs.
Jul 1st, 2009 at 01:36 GMT
thats sad john2, massive failure.
Jul 1st, 2009 at 02:49 GMT
I was so inspired, I had to toss this one in the CD player for the drive home!
Jul 1st, 2009 at 03:00 GMT
Good quiz, but I'd do way better at a 'Gadmo's favorite Nirvana songs' quiz.
Jul 1st, 2009 at 03:38 GMT
good quiz, we need way more nirvana ones on here.
Jul 1st, 2009 at 09:42 GMT
I have the album and 'Where did you sleep last night' is definitely on it.
Jul 1st, 2009 at 10:42 GMT
yeah I just checked, 'where did you sleep last night' is definitely on
Jul 1st, 2009 at 16:59 GMT
If you guys all have that track, then you guys all have the international version (or you all used a torrent to download a version including that track, or you all have the vinyl- all of these options are acceptable). Anyway, American CD pressings did not have the track- that's what Wikipedia says, that's what Amazon says, and that's what Geffen says- so I didn't include it, plain and simple.

Good Quiz, Need More Nirvana Ones
Jul 2nd, 2009 at 12:39 GMT
where did you sleep last night isint on here.
Dec 19th, 2009 at 10:03 GMT
14/14. Good considering I don't have this album, mainly because all the tracks apart from 'You Know You're Right' are on the other Nirvana albums. About the songs people keep saying should be on there: Lake of Fire was a Meat Puppets cover, Love Buzz was a Shocking Blue cover, they'd already released four versions of Polly so to release it again would be overkill. Don't know why they put the Bowie cover on there though. They should have chosen Breed, Sappy, Drain You, Territorial Pissings, Blew and Negative Creep instead of tracks like Sliver and Been A Son.

check out my quizes
Mar 2nd, 2010 at 15:05 GMT
good quiz, i think sliver and been a son deserve to be on the album otherwise its just nevermind and in utero with a few extra songs. incesticide and bleach are great albums
Jun 3rd, 2010 at 22:12 GMT
Nirvana were awesome! Awesome band, awesome songs, pure awesome. R.I.P Kurt : (
Jul 22nd, 2010 at 03:06 GMT
Were there actually hits off of "Bleach"? I never heard of them until "Nevermind," though they've been my favorite ever since.
