Man, that was a lot harder than I figured it would be. Plenty of guys I thought might have been there- OJ, Dickerson, Edge, Art Monk- were not.

I can't believe I forgot buddy ryan's favorite, "all he does is catch touchdowns."

Tim Brown was the big surprise for me. Thankfully I got it when I typed in Brown for Jim Brown.

Monk is a good guess. He had the talent to be on this list, but the team he played for wouldn't let him. What I mean is that he was on a team with Ricky Sanders and Gary Clark. In 1989, for the first time in NFL history, three players from one team went over 1,000 recieving yards. I think Riggins also went over 1,000 rushing that season. Especially in the Joe Gibbs, pound the ball offense, there were just too many other people scoring the touchdowns for Monk to make the list.

Yes, I'm a Redskin fan. Also, ut surprises me that OJ Simpson isn't here. I suppose there are many players with the talent to make this list, but the team they play for either scores TDs with other players or just doesn't score enough.

I've got to stop missing Cris Carter on these quizzes! I'm from Minnesota for goodness sakes! Also, what about a quiz with rushing touchdowns by QBs?

Sorry for the triple post, football (real) excites me. More quizzes like this are always appreciated. Jim Brown should be higher, but after about 8 seasons he retired. Out og the blue, just coming off his prime. He averaged above 100 yards/game for his career.

The two that I missed were Lenny Moore and John Riggins. I'm not surprised a lot of people Don Hutson considering the era he played in. Just goes to show how great he was.

ElDavo, Riggins was long gone by '89, but you are correct about the trio of 1000-yard receivers. Monk never scored more than 8 TDs in a season.

I really thought Edge was on this list. I checked after the quiz and he has 91 overall TD's. Close, but not quite. I guessed O.J. too but he wasn't even close. @sammy, I did the same thing. Thought Jim Brown, but put only Brown in and Tim came up as well. I was like, oh yeah.

Lenny Moore was also a receiver. I would have liked a RB/WR title for him. The only one I missed.

What an insight this list is to how football has changed. Look at the names that didn't make 100 TDs but dominated their era - OJ, Alworth, Taylor, Gifford, Warfield, Biletnikoff, Carmichael, Harold Jackson. Oh, and where are the big self promoters like Super Duper and Ochocinco? not even close - Hah!

I only missed Lenny Moore, but I never would've guessed he'd still be in the all time leaders. There's been so many old standards surpassed in the last 20 years, it's surprising to see how far down some of the legends are. Just look at the reception list and see how far down Largent is-he's in the same company as Larry Canters!
