S is a good letter. It also has Sanders and Simpson. For those wondering, Tomlinson is only 240 behind with Fred Taylor just 400 behind him.

I was going to ask them to rerun this quiz in 2-4 games so that the T would be updated. Steve Young as the Y leader? Interesting.

Yes, there are many great backs beginning with "S" ... Smith, Sanders, Simpson, Sayers, Sims, etc.

Man I forgot Franco Harris in every rushing related quiz. Also, I KNEW there was going to be a QB on this list, I thought maybe Vick... Should have guessed Young for Y.

@Terpfan417 Vick has only 3,866 rush yards. He probably won't break that total unless he ever stars again, which I doubt will happen. PS-Go Terps!

Great Idea for a quiz! I didn't very much, but it was fun. You should do this for each sport... homerun leaders.... PPG, etc....good idea tho

I can't believe Eddie Lee Ivory is on the list. Seems like he was hurt all of the time. Imagine how good he could have been without two knee injuries.

@markossip. WTF? Steve Young isn't dead you moron. You got him mixed up with McNair. Totally different guy. I bet you bombed this quiz.

Haha, yeah, what in the world are you talking about? Steve Young isn't dead. He's on ESPN ALL the time, haha. Cripes. --How is Skeet Quinlan NOT the most obscure? That name sounds made up. Stephen Sides; who is "Sims?"

I'm not sure what the right answer for U is, but Uram isn't it. Unitas has more rushing yards.

Clinton Portis and Adrian Peterson are SOL. Steven Jackson and Frank Gore have a long way to go. LT should be next, but as somebody said, he'll never make it at this pace. Whichever letter you count Maurice Jones-Drew, he's got his work cut out for him.

It's sad that arguably the best RB ever toplay the game is not on the list because he only played 9 years. Over 100 ypg average for his career and 5.4 ypc career average. I just don't see those records being broken anytime soon.

@YankeesJets2310. No doubt. I sat there wracking my brain for the M name, trying to figure out how anybody could have 14,000 career rushing yards and me not remember him. Got it with 20 second left, and thought, "Oh. Because it's Curtis Martin. Nobody remembers Curtis Martin." He'll get inducted into the Hall of Fame and 50% of the fans reading the news will say "Who? Must be some lineman."
