Excellent game here.

I better not see anyone get a 0/30 on this one, lol. The top guy on the list has his picture next to the game on the homepage. If you don't know who he is, I don't know how big of a football fan you could possibly be. Anyway, I got 15/30. My problem was that I was reaching too far back into history for my answers. With a couple of exceptions, most of the guys on this list played within the last 20-30 years. I kept forgetting that the seasons were shorter back in the day and teams didn't pass nearly as much as they do now.

25/30. I think Jesus in Cleats should be acceptable for Jerry Rice.

poor eric moulds: 9,995 career yards. im sure as soon as jeff fisher takes this quiz, he will take proper action.

I made the same mistakes as Matt8204. I actually thought of Muhammad, then said "Naaaaaah, no way." Oops. Isaac Bruce is number three? Are you ****ting me?

Dang! Forgot to put the end on the end of Shannon Sharpe. I think I got a respectable 16, 17 if I'd spelled Sharpe right.
Oct 24th, 2008 at 23:42 GMT
wow-i guessed bruce on a whim and he was 3rd all-time? wtf? couldn't spell muhammad right-but i got 28/30

Interesting that the two all-time passing leaders, Favre and Marino, do not have a receiver that they threw to on this list (I'm not counting that Favre had Rison for about half a season).

I got a 15/30, but to be fair I was guessing the wrong Clark and the wrong Jackson. And we got a twofer with Smith. Still, a lot of fun.

good quiz, although i stupidly thought it was only wide receivers and missed gonzo and sharpe. very fun, how about career rushing yards leaders?
Oct 28th, 2008 at 00:32 GMT
@ imforbucky - good point! Very interesting. Especially considering that guys like Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson, Mark Brunell, Randall Cunningham, and Mark Rypien all have two each on here. Crazy.

I think you should put an "*" by people who are currently playing.

I agree with extinct. The little things like that help a lot.

26/30, but I don't know how I managed to think of Stanley Morgan. I always forget that Andre Rison actually had a pretty good career in the league, and I honestly don't know who Harold Jackson is.
Apr 30th, 2009 at 19:41 GMT
@imforbucky - Irving Fryar actually played for the Marino lead Dolphins for three years in early 90s

Updated the totals, added the * and a source and just generally got this quiz ready for football season.
Jul 25th, 2009 at 23:16 GMT
The star on Derrick Mason should be removed as he just retired.

Wow, Henry Ellard is 8th all-time? Pulled that one out of thin air!

Well I wasted about 0:30 seconds trying to spell Benjamin Watson correctly only to find out later that he and his 5 TDs were never listed.

Guessed smith and johnson got 4 guys
Jan 7th, 2012 at 03:49 GMT
with the way the league is going, i wont be surprised if the top 30 are all active players in a few years haha
Jan 17th, 2012 at 01:35 GMT
Moss is no longer active
May 18th, 2012 at 15:05 GMT
Crazy how some guys like Henry Ellard are overlooked, considering his numbers.. I wasn't into football back when he was playing, so I don't know what happened there. Was he just completely overshadowed by Jerry Rice?
May 25th, 2012 at 15:42 GMT
Funney that a top 9 guy is only guessed right 9% of the time - Ellard.
Sep 2nd, 2012 at 15:17 GMT
20/30. Can't believe i missed Ellard,Harrison,Reed,Fryar,Wayne,Muhammed,McCardell,Galloway,Clark, and Morgan. Wow I bobmed. At least i won challenge.
Mar 28th, 2013 at 20:31 GMT
I almost typed Muhammed's name, but I thought it'd have been a waste of effort and time. Shucks. Hard to believe Lance Alworth and Wes Chandler didn't make the list. I like your football quizzes, Matt.
