Looks like the Mailman sometimes delivered it to the wrong place quite a few times.

it's funny to see stockton and malone at the top, considering their reputation.

It's too bad the 90s Jazz had to play the 90s Bulls.

Just like the QB interceptions quiz, in order to put up a lot of turnovers, it also means you're good enough to play 15+ years. I'd be interested to see these players TO/game stats and compare them to the average.

It's very likely that Chamberlain would be on this list, but TO have only been counted since '77.

This is like being a 20-game loser in baseball: Somebody had to think it was worth it to give the ball to you in the first place. Malone scored 36K points (and over 4K assists), so obviously having the ball in his hands was a pretty good idea for a very long time.

Bryant, most of these guys still have a lot of TO per game, because they were handling the ball so much. But your comparison with QB INTs (or batter strikeouts) is right on point. No one gets to make this many TO unless they're also doing a lot of other stuff right.

I am not an NBA fan, so I had to rely on my memory of players in the first NBA Jam arcade game and the Starting Line Up figures from the late 80's/early 90's!! Amazingly, I got 18!

Yeah, it would've been nice if the quiz had made it clear that the NBA didn't count turnovers until 1977-78. That takes out other old timers like Chamberlain, Jabbar (enough of his career to matter), Cousy, Robertson, West, Maravich, etc, etc. I figured out pretty quickly that 60s guys weren't on here but didn't know how recent to go with.

i believe #25 and #26 are the only ones on this list that actually have more career turnovers then assists, and whats ridiculous is #26 has over 1000 more turnovers than assists. but the guy is known for mistakes, look at the number of illegitimate children he has

@bobc, kareem just barely misses the list with 2527 even without the 8 seasons of play without the turnover stat

His Airness would've had a "few" more turnovers if the refs showed a little more integrity.

24/30...I got all active players. Look for guys like Arenas (if he stays healthy), CP3, D-Will, Wade and Lebron to be in this list when their careers are over

I figured the best way to take this quiz was to think "longevity" and "point guards", and it paid off. I was halfway through the quiz when I decided that I should consider "Hang Time" as another factor.

Charles Oakley surprised me. I think of him as a tough guy who will defend, rebound, set screens, hit guys in the lane committing fouls, not so much as a guy who makes lots of decisions with the ball in his hands on offense...

Point's been made, most of these are the NBA's greatest over the past 30 years. However, Rod Strickland and Shawn find themselves in the wrong crowd, because they have no excuse to have anywhere near as many turnovers as some of these guys. They need to call Randy Starks to figure out where their crowd is meeting.

I figured that a good strategy would be to go for point guards, dominant big men, and superstars because they all have the ball the most.

Strickland was a scoring PG, kinda like CP3. After Drexler-Porter era, he was Portland's #1 scoring option. He's also among career assist leaders, so he does have some "excuses". Kemp on the other hand...

You'd think Kareem would be on this list for having a 20 year career and playing more minutes than anybody, but he's only ranked at #40.
