Well, he averaged 29 pts, 11 rbs, 7 asts and won 63 games, shooting 52% FG, 88% FT, and 43% 3pt as a PF... that's something even LeBron and Kobe should hope to succeed. If anything, Bird's been forgotten over the years BECAUSE he was white. People respect him, but you don't hear him in the greatest player of all-time talks the way you should. If Magic came a decade earlier or later, I feel like more people would remember Bird though. Both of those guys took a lot of titles and honors from eachother. Jordan had some great players in his days, but none like Johnson. It's sort of like how LeBron hasn't won a title yet, largely because of Kobe being so dominant out in LA. |
