Chamberlain actually ain't THAT far off this list, amazingly enough. And he did lead the league one season. He has the second most assists of anyone 6'10" or taller (after Kareem).

I guess being good at assists doesn't help in the coaching aspect. Look at Thomas, Cheeks and Theus.

No Walt Frazier. Wow. Also... Rather depressing how UN-successful this list has been winning titles. Numbers 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10... and many more, are all some what know for NOT winning titles. Even number 5 didn't win one until another notable big name joined him late in his career. 3, 6, 14 and the last guy on this list are really the only ones to have consistently successful teams.

Also, #s 2 and 22 have made it to this list despite having reputations during their careers as being selfish players. And #2 got traded once after trying to take #1s starting job.

Lots of Knicks of the early 90s on this list--in just three seasons (1990-93), they had M. Jackson, Strickland, Cheeks, and Harper. I still have the "Bomb Squad" poster with Jackson and Strickland.

Marbury isn't playing, so he's not an active player... Man... I suck for not being able to spell Wilkens (tried wilkins) and Strickland (tried strikland).
