Talk about a brutal one. I got ten and should apparently be proud of it. I understand that the three-pointer is relatively new, but it's still unbelievable to think that some of these guys are all-timers.

Can't believe that Mookie freakin' Blaylock is on this list while Michael Redd, Vince, Gary Payton, Kobe, Baron Davis, Jeff Hornacek and Steve Kerr aren't.

Fun and difficult. I got 16, and I was surprised that nobody I missed was a "gimme", though I should've gotten Glen Rice (among others). It's interesting to see who is in top 30 and who isn't- for example, I couldn't believe Gary Payton (who is about 80 shy of 30th) wasn't there. I did get Mookie, which I consider a big win for me.

If you consider #1s eye surgery late in his career...him and #2 are a giant leap ahead of everyone as far as averages go.

@sub: I was surprised about Hornacek, Kerr, and the Glove. But guys like Redd. Vince, Kobe, and Baron make sense. They haven't been around quite as long/don't shoot as many 3s

@sam: Kobe has been in the league for 13 years so I figured he'd be in there especially since he's been one of the league leaders in the past few years. In fact, according to the link provided, he needs 16 more 3PTM to overtake #30 on the list. Also looking at that list, Hornacek and Kerr really don't have the numbers that I thought they did - less than 850 each.

Did OK, but I would've dominated if the quiz was to name the players from 31-60. For some reason I thought Stockton was much higher, but he's not even close lol

I think my problem is that I was thinking of high-percentage shooters, 3 point specialists like kerr, hornacek, ect, instead of thinking of players who would have had the ball in their hands more often. A lower percentage can be offset by a higher number of attempts.

I'm glad I was able to get all 30 mainly on the basis of NBA Jam rosters. Proof that I've actually learned a lot from video games. Although not really much from NBA Jam in the way of fire safety and the laws of physics.

This quiz is too American-centric. There are barely any european players on this list. Stop your racist ways Sporcle.

Hey Conio: Just develop your European players (or wherever you're from) a little better at the 3 ball AND be able to keep them in the league longer. Then, you will start seeing more of them on here.

Larry Bird was a great three-point shooter for his time, but the three-pointer had just been added when he was playing. NBA teams take A LOT more threes than they did 25 years ago, and are more accurate now as well. If Bird came along now it would probably be a bigger part of his arsenal.

If you were to tell me that 2 of the 3 guys from Run T-M-C were on this list, I'd have bet the house that Mullin was one of them. And then I'd have no house. Man, that team was loaded with shooters.

@randallpinkston: yeah, i'm surprised too. of all the T-M-C, i thought mullin was the one to shoot the most 3pts. i guess he didn't play long enough to put himself on the list.

Ray Allen now has 2,444 3 pointers. One more season and he'll pass Reggie Miller as the #1 of all-time.
