| Not the quiz creator's fault of course, he/she is only quoting, but restricting this list to seven wonders for seven's sakes is a silly premise to start with. After all, there is so much more wonderful all across the world, many of them in their own style. The US alone could supply seven (Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone, ...), so could China or Russia. There's Kilimanjaro and Fuji-san. Mount Everest isn't even the most impressive Himalaya-8000-m-hill. You have Uluru, Norwegian Fjords, basically the whole of New Zealand, this plateau highland in South America, Namibian desert. Plus many more I've probably never heard of, especially in Africa. (BTW, similar things hold for architecture lists - there's so much now). All boils down to a matter of taste too soon. |
