	juviejay: I think the JonBenet thing is because what they see as inconsequential information can be forgotten. It's similar to Franz Ferdinand. People remember that he was Austrian and his assassination basically started WW1, but they forget where exactly it happened.

	As a young teen, I used to deliver leaflets for a Pizza resteraunt on the street where Alexandre Litvinenko lived. If he'd have read the leaflets I shoved through his letterbox, he might've fancied a pepperoni that day instead of the posh cup of tea that killed him.

	@dav_uz: I recently read Bill Bryson's "Neither Here Nor There" in which he mentions the assassination of Palme. That's how I got it anyway!

	I'd read about Palme's assassination years ago (although I did guess Oslo first before Stockholm!). The one I'm really concerned about is that only 4.7% got Dollfuss. The city is easy to guess if you know anything about the story.

	This quiz really solidified my theory that television has taught me mostly everything I know. I found out about the Lizzy Bourdon murders on the Travel Channel; Daniel Pearl from 'A might Heart';Livenenko from the news; Theo Van Gogh from 'Biochannel'. I'm like a sponge really lol.

	Clever idea - and good mix of geography & chronology. Recent movies ("Munich", "Milk") probably helped up the score on a couple of them - but I'm surprised more people didn't get Daniel Pearl, given the relatively recent "A Mighty Heart" (with Angelina Jolie giving one of her better performances, imo). Maybe it wasn't as widely seen, or maybe people who saw the movie forgot the setting?

	I'm not sure about the Tiananmen Square one. I mean it's certainly historically very important, but you only have to know where Tiananmen Square is. Maybe if it said something like "Pro-Democracy Demonstrators" or "Student Demonstrators" or something, but didn't name the Square. Might be too hard then though, I don't know...

	Rasputin was not murdered. He happened to die of natural causes after being poisoned, shot, and dumped into an ice cold river.

	I know this is going to get a huge negative score, but I don't think it is sporcle's job to call the Tiananmen Square massacre a "murder." This one should go, especially considering it is the ONLY one on this list that mentions a state-led action. I feel that one is out of taste and shows a political bias against the Chinese governmental state.

	@Bryant, Fall River is a pretty obscure town. I live in Massachusetts right now and I've never heard of it. I imagine the other 344 smaller ones are also pretty obscure. When it comes to Mass, most people only know Boston, Springfield, and sometimes Worcester

	@fatbeard, there's a difference between an "obscure town" and "not exactly a major city in the country." I live in Paxton, MA: population 5,000. Thats obscure. I wouldn't call a city with 100,000 people obscure at all. And most people do know of Worcester as well I wouldn't say people haven't heard of that either...not everyone is like you.

	What a great quiz, although, as usual, created for a mainly American audience (by Americans, I presume) which skews the questions so that the average American is more likely to know the answers than a person of another nationality. More than anything, though, I am slightly shocked that Benazir Bhutto is not on the list - surely one of the most politically consequential assassinations of the century?
